If you’re a member of my generation, you likely remember local cops visiting your elementary school to lecture you about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and gang violence. (And, if you were anything like me, it only made you more curious about narcotics.) On his first Booth feature, the latest leak off his forthcoming EP, SL Jones takes us through his own, considerably more credible version of the D.A.R.E. program, describing the tragic consequences of gangbanging over the lush boardwork of project collaborator DJ Burn One. The production on this track by DJ Burn One is nice and chill. SL Jones has some good lyrics with a nice delivery. I'll throw it into rotation.

Burn One could make Yung Berg sound like a Grammy nominee. For real. But in all seriousness, SL Jones is coming along nicely since last we heard from him. Still, though, he has room for growth.

It's ok, not what I expected... Sounds totally different (delivery & his voice) than what I remember from the Grind Time Rap Gang days (this is the same S.L. Jones, right?)
