In 2007, Chicago rap icon Twista announced that he was launching his own label, Get Money Gang Ent.; in addition to himself and his Speedknot Mobstaz, GMG would become the label home of several more rising stars from the Windy City.  One of these up-and-coming rappers goes by the name of Skooda Chose; previously featured on the Mobstaz’ Money To Blow, as well as Godzilla and U Feelin’ Me off the label’s Who’$ Got Next compilation album, he’s ready to break out this summer with his own debut album, Skooda Chose: The Heir Up There.  The first single, Loungin’, is a laid-back jam with an old-school vibe.  Over Blended Beats’ percussion-heavy boardwork, Skooda brushes off the haters that surround him.  Featuring a closing verse by Twista himself and a catchy hook by Mikey Rocks (of The Cool Kids), Loungin’ is already developing into a Chi-Town anthem (a video shoot just took place this past weekend); let’s see if it has what it takes to chill out at the top of playlists nationwide.

This song is alright, I'm feelin the Hawaiin/Western feel of the production, I'm not quite sure what it is... Skooda sounds pretty cool, and flows well wit the vibe on this one. Twista spits pretty well too, creatin a sort of laid back vibe.

To be honest, The Cool Kids are one of my favorite groups out right now, so my man Mikey Rocks pushed this up to a 3. I love simple, every day storytellin lyrics. Dude kills me every time, and I love how real it is. By the way thats him on the second verse, and I don't hear him on the hook. Maybe he does background vocals. Anyway, his verse was hot.

Let's see the comments pick up, people! Those who leave feedback/ratings and interact on a regular basis are going to have a nice surprise pretty soon.

I dunno if this will go in my rotation. Twista seems to be consistently spitting good verses again, hopefully he can get it together for his next album.

Pretty good, but find that midwest sound too often "boring" and the only thing that amps it up is of course Twistas quick lyrics.
