However, if you asked Virginia veteran Skillz about the one word that best describes his style, he would undoubtedly utter “sick.” Giving a hip-hop history lesson, Skillz describes Sick as Dr. Dre meeting Eazy E., Beyonce appearing on Star Search, or Lil’ Wayne using the expression “wobbity wobbity” during his early years. It’s easy to tell an old-school street banger when the beat underscores the lyrics (not the other way around), and in this case a jazz saxophone provides the appropriate backdrop. Skillz will release his new album, Million Dollar Backpack, on Koch Records later this spring.
People get on Skillz because he enunciates all his words and uses pop culture. How does that make any sense? Dude can spit, he is amusing, and overall a breath of fresh air. Plus, this beat is bananas. Please disagree with me, strong opinions start great conversations...
i can get in2 some rap like DIS...but DIS is not one of em. i guess im not a Skillz fan @ all cuz i think DIS is garbage, i even had to skip through it.....(plz dont hate on me cuz i hate it!)

this is another good track from skillz .... in rot .... i think lots of ppl "sick" .... beat tight .... and good flow .... nyce production .... in rot!
yo this dudes rhymes are real basic, like really basic. listen to it again, u can predict almost every word he rhymes wit. well not almost every word but u get my drift
It's ok. He might be a good writer, however his lyrics are meant for other artists and not for him. He does have basic lyrics with a basic delivery. Personally, I think he's just right in the middle of the pack. In the meantime, the beat is killin' 'em. Rate 2.5.

IM DEFINETLY A FAN OF SKILLZ HE MAY HAVE THE SAME DELIVERY IN ALL HIS TRACKS! BUT THEN AGAIN WHO CARES ABOUT DELIVERY WHEN HALF THE TRACKS ON THE FM STATIONS FEATURE T PAIN AND THAT DUDE BEING USING EFFECT MACHINES TO DELIVER HIS TRACKS!! IDK BUT SKILLZ IS SICK!!!!
sick sick DAMN SICK!!!!! u cant get no better then skillz, VA STAND UP!! skillz isnt a rapper but a str8 emcee!!! this is a classic, he need more play, the flow is insane, the beat could have been better but skillz carryin the track, 5 out 5!!
