“If I were broke, would you still be with me?”  Men seem to always ask that question, thinking their ladies are supposed to get excited that they don’t have a job or are still living at home with their mamas.  But that’s the main question in Skarr-Akbar‘s self-produced single, Would You.  Featuring Donny Roc, who sings in a style reminiscent of (you-name-the-artist) 90’s R&B, Would You showcases the guy who is without a car and can only muster up the money for noodles and bologna.  So the question is: would you stay with a scrub?  That’s worth some debate, but I’m sure most would agree that regardless of the answer, this song’s a good listen.

Beat is chill. Skarr-Akbar skills definitely shine on this production but flow is so-so. Chorus is decent.

Skarr-Akbar flows real nice over this beat. Part of that ability is the fact he fashioned the beat himself... just imagine if all rappers could also craft their own beats.

He's not bad. Donny Rock sounds like Sisqo. This gains a 2 stars for the effort.

if more rappers spent their time makin beats, we'd have even less quality rappers. rappers should rapper, producers should produce. Akbar: the choice is yours

Im givin this dude 3 stars simply for the effort. This sint gonna be in my rotation, but it is really rare to have a rapper/producer, and it aint that bad. By the way Donny Roc is good. Definitely deserves a better rating.

I agree with TheGreatest...we've definitely heard worst and plenty of those songs made artists quite popular. If anything the theme of the song just lacks creativity and I will admit that his stage name is a little weird, but his flow is okay. I prefer the Skarr-Akbar more than Donny Roc, though, he sounds a little amateur-ish.

The theme of "would you still want me?" is a little over done.

This is a concept that has been recycled over and over again. I'm finally tired of it! Not good! Weak beat! Weak Flow! Wack Song! Dude on the hook doesn't sound good either. He's like a cross between Case Ne-Yo and Lloyd... Drunk as hell. Trash
