Sheek Louch - Give It Up
Artist: Sheek Louch
Producer: J. Cardim
Album: J. Cardim Presents: Dice Music Group
Label: D-Block/Def Jam
Ladies and gentlemen, Give It Up for the one and only Sheek Louch! This newly-leaked mixtape cut finds the D-Block member and 10-year-plus veteran of the music game enjoying a little well-deserved “me time” on the mic, inviting listeners to pay homage as he delivers an abridged rundown of his many accomplishments (“I gave you hits, anthems, more than rhymes/ club bangers…”) as well as shouting-out the iconic likes of M.O.P., Rakim and Buckshot. Booth-acclaimed producer J. Cardim nails the rapper’s triumphant mood, serving up a soul-sampled beat driven by bombastic organ riffs. Sheek Louch is clearly not planning on doing as this record’s title says anytime soon, but longtime fans are sure to appreciate the trip down Memory Lane. If you’re digging this track, keep it locked to our front page. Neither J. Cardim Presents: Dice Music Group nor Louch’s forthcoming, yet-untitled studio album have received a solid release date, but you can rest assured we in the Booth will bring you all the latest news and tunes.

You always know what you're going to get with Sheek. He is as consistent an emcee as we have in this entire industry. Honestly - think of someone who is more consistent track-to-track than Sheek?
The real star of this record is producer J. Cardim, who has never made a beat (that I've heard) that I haven't enjoyed. Dope samples and nice change of pace during the chorus. |

This gritty beat suits Sheek very nicely, but I would have liked the sample turned up a bit more during the breaks between verses. He just has that kinda voice when he spits that I wanna listen to

Out of every Philly hat Sheek could rock he goes with the Flyers? Bold move.
Anyway, it's a banger, though for Sheek this feels a little like he's going through the motions. Z, no disrespect to Sheek at all, but think of someone who's more consistent than Sheek? Um, ok...Ludacris. That man does three times as many tracks as Sheek and they're all quality. |

Not a fan of Sheek Louch or anything like that, but J. Cardim definitely does his thing on track. Rotation-Stuff.

It's D-B-L-O-C-K @*#$!! They make me wanna go out and do a crime! (LOL) Sheek Louch has always been a very, very, very good rapper! Go listen to the Wolf Mixtapes (about 2 or 3 of them) and I need not say more! The beat is just as hard as Sheek is on here. Sheek has sicker stuff than this in the catalog, but I would bump this again when i find out what mixtape this is on.
