While G-Unit has spent the past few years starting beef with crews from both D-Block and Dipset, the respective labels have been busy cooking up music in the studio.  This past December, rappers Styles P. and Jim Jones announced on UK radio that they would be recording a joint album together; today we give you a taste of that collaborative effort.  Straight off Sheek Louch’s forthcoming album, Silverback Gorilla (released March 18), is the mammoth collaborative effort, D-Block / Dipset.  Joining Louch are LOX brethren, Jadakiss and The Ghost, as well as Dipset representatives Jim Jones and Hell Rell.  Now if only Cam’ron put on some clothes and found a studio…

I am very surprised to find that I actually liked this song. For the longest time I have pretty much hated anything that D-Block or Dipset touched, but hey I am going to give props where props is due. I am starting to think it might be the change of pace for D-Block compared to constantly grimey and hard hitting beats they use. Oh yeah by the way I am going to predict DJ Blaze rates this a 5 since he is all about both groups.

prime example of what's wrong w/hip-hop: too many rappers! you can't help but get average rappers w/whack names like Clete and Sheek Louch... who has time to listen to all of em? Not me! next song please

I really like these dudes and although they don’t usually produce mainstream material, when they do it you can tell they could be even bigger than they are. Two talented groups with good rappers on their own. I respect D-Block a lot more though. The beat is banging!!!
