Carlos “Shawty Lo” Walker has had quite a year. Following the February release of his solo debut, Units in the City, which spawned hit singles Dey Know and Foolish, Lo stayed in the headlines by beefing with fellow ATLien T.I., making a number of guest appearances (see E-40’s Break Ya Ankles and Slim’s So Fly (Remix)) and speaking out about his battle with diabetes. For an encore, the “slow flow” emcee will drop his second solo project courtesy of Asylum, on March 24. The project, entitled Carlos, will include lead single Supplier. On the track, which features R&B accompaniment from Trey Songz, a third verse from Lil Wayne, and veteran production work from Burbank, California native Poli Paul, Shawty Lo reveals that he has “something that they need, something that they want.” So, does he have the goods?

This is good... I loved it from the first verse! NOt really feel'n Shawty lo as much as Trey Songz though. The only thing, I never thought a song like this would be about "supply'n" lol... the production is not as serious as it should be for the "supply'n" concept.

Not really feeling this, Im not a big fan of Shawty Lo, the dude just isnt that good of a rapper (if u can call him that). Trey Songz was the savior in this song, his hook was brilliant while Weezy was decent. The production on this was pretty good as well. Its in rotation mainly because of Songz, but also the production from Poli Paul.

All rappers have their trademark sayings or ways that they introduce themselves, but I've always been annoyed with Shawty Lo's "L-O, L-O" and the way he flows. That's translated into everything he's put out to me that I haven't been into. His tracks are usually passes for me but this one is a minor upgrade, mainly becasue of the guest features. Trey rocks a good chorus and Weezy does Weezy. Won't be listening to it again or adding it to my collection, but I can see some improvement.

I can't stand Shawty Lo's flllooowww. Yooouuu heeeaaarrr meee? "Dey Know" was a guilty pleasure of mine, but that still doesn't excuse Lo's pathetic lyricism and hideous wordplay. At least Wayne brings some substance to the record - just some.

For some reason I digged some of his older songs but after a while the same voice w/ Shawty Lo get annoying. He straight ruined the song and his lyrics are so predictable with his weak rhymes and slow pace. Weezy did his thang as usual and Trey Songz killed the hook as usual. But I give it a 2 just cuz of Lo. I would of digged this more if it was just Weezy the whole way through

I'm sorry I just can't stand his voice. Shawty Lo needs to fix what ever he does to his voice because I know for a fact he don't talk like that. I only istened to this because of Trey Songz and Lil Wayne. OMG I CAN'T STAND HIS VOICE. Lil Wayne went hard and Trey Songz did his thing on the chorus. The voice of Shawty Lo is driving me crazy I'm Sorry. If you want to listen to a good song check out Jeremih - " Birthday Sex" right here on DJ Booth. I can only give this a 2 and it would be a one if Trey Songz and Lil Wayne wasn't on here doing their thing.

I think Shawty Lo is a horrible rapper...let's get that out there first. I agree TONE+Chef..."Dey Know" was a guilty pleasure for me as well (mostly because of the remix though). On this song, he was super wack. Trey shined on this joint. Wayne was okay...nothing special in my opinion. The production was sub-par as well. I can't give this more than 2 stars.

the hook is good, i dont like Lo but he did ok. I guess its his flow i aint feelin. its just a predictable sound kinda like what cham was sayin about rap patterns. weezy probably wasnt even tryin on this..but once people hear weezy is on the track they just gotta hear it

Wow, I didnt think Lo could get more annoying with his voice. This is bad. Trey Songz did his thing, and Wayne was decent I think. I dont know, Shawty Low just isnt good to me. And the beat wasnt all that great either. This wont get any more plays from me.

This is kinda cool right here. Definitely will be on radio as others have stated. Its a decent beat with nice production values, but nothing special. Shawty Lo is a FAKE-A$$ Young Jeezy, but way worse...and I didn't think it was possible to get much worse. I hope TI kicks his ass soon! Trey songz did a tight hook here, and he actually makes the beat sound better. Shawty Lo is just awful with his punchlines. Lil Wayne comes in at the end to try to save the day, but I really wish he used his normal voice for this once! You don't even need autotune for his part! This is just average right here. Not even in rotation for long.

Shawty Lo isn't as bad as some of y'all say he is...he sounds better than some of those other rappers that are out there. Well to me he's a breathe of fresh air- even though he sounds the same in every track...but I always just want to keep listening. Trey and Wayne outshined him though. Trey always does good so that's no suprise and Weezy sounds like Weezy- which is hot! Banger...not a classic...(*cough cough SMITTY cough*;))

L-O HEY HEY YEAH! no. Trey is always tearin hooks up. Yeaaaahhhh, im off the wire! im on fire!! gah, if he cut out his yeahs, and stupid stuff like that he may be better. His verses are short and pointless. Lo did impress me tho. (Maybe he should that as a rhyme - YEAHHH Shawty Lo, nobody likes me but im still impressive tho!) ha, anyway. This is better than alot of his stuff but still bad. Lil wayne did not kill this, at all. I was way disappointed.

Is it just me, or does Shawty Lo sound like an imitation Young Jeezy. With all the "YEAHHHHHHH" and "AYEEEEEEE's"...It's a bit too much, even for him. Rappers need to stick to their own signature style, fo' real. Aside from just that, I think it'll have some heads bobbin', with Trey Songz on the hook an' all.....

Old song, but it's still in rotation for me. Trey Songz on that hook is insane! He makes the song! The production is so jumpy and addicting! Shawty Lo brings nice energy and I actually think Wayne brings the song down, but the song is still a bangerrrrrr!
