“A rapper has taken Atlanta by storm over the past two months.” When you read that statement, who was the first artist that came to mind? Ludacris? Young Jeezy? T.I.? While all three have taken the ATL by storm at one time or another, the mystery artist behind that opening statement is…drum roll please… D4L’s Shawty Lo. (If you’re surprised you shouldn’t be.) Reppin’ Bankhead and his ultra ‘slow flow,’ the D4L founder is blowing up the radio, the dance floors and the strip clubs with his debut solo single, Dey Know. After releasing a plethora of remixes featuring artists Guerilla Zoe and E-40, Shawty Lo used his rising star status and scooped up heavy hitters Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Plies and Lil’ Wayne for an official remix. Amongst the five MCs I think it’s safe to say: Dey Know.

Weezy's punchlines are ridiculous. I got confused listening to his verse the first time cuz I had to figure out what he was talking about. Classic Weezy, but he could have done without the voice box. Other dudes killed it too, but they kinda stole the show from Shawty Lo.

man i was watchin MIKE JONES THE AMERICAN DREAM on BET so this song was a breath of fresh air THAT MOVIE IS STUPID!!!...o yeah about the song, when Weezy said "they just poop stains" automatic 5 stars from me. but i knocked off a star cuz of shawty lo. weezy has been usin the t-pain thing a lot lately

Great remix with the souths finest artists. Shawty lo is def outperforming fabo when it comes to goin solo. Wish wayne would stop using the tpain voice machine. 4/5 stars.

Well since the original version came out, I always thought the beat was fire, but Shawty-Lo was completely outshined by it. Alas, Luda & Jeezy save this track from serious mediocrity. Wayne's verse is garbage, who told him rappin like that was cool. He said couple things I admit, but his demeanor kills the intensity. Plies is boo-boo as well. lk all of Plies music, tell that dude to Go back and study the classics and restrategize ur rhyme patterns.

i jus wanna say this joint is off the chook! shawty lo's aight, luda recked it, i dont like jeezy at all but he actually came through with this one, plies can't rap, and last but DEFINATELY not least... the best rapper alive has once again left nobody that was on the track with him... alive. and i think the voice thing is tight.
