Credited with creating snap music in ‘06, rapper Shawty Lo has strayed from the once-popular musical fad since his solo career began to flourish earlier this year. The 27 year-old Atlanta emcee released Units in The City in February, and has sought commercial fame with Dey Know, his anthemic shout-out to haters. Searching for that same success, the raspy-voiced d-boy is back with the Foolish (Remix), which finds him teaming up with fellow Atlantan DJ Montay for production, and getting contributions from Baby, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, and the self-proclaimed maestro of hood music, DJ Khaled. Shawty Lo’s slow flow is recognizable in contrast with his counterparts on this melodic track, but it would be Foolish to think this remix won’t bump everywhere it’s played.
Listen to Shawty Lo's Foolish (Remix) ft. Jim Jones, Baby, Rick Ross & DJ Khaled More songs from Shawty Lo
This sounds pretty cool right here. The beat is made for Rick Ross and Jim Jones for sure!!! Production isn't bad and shawty Lo is even decent on here! I think this can definitely go into rotation. Sounds like their other tracks though...
This remix is a Bangerr compared to the original!, I dont know y everyone doesn't like Shawty Lo, I dont think he's the best, but he's definitely not the worst... D4L definitely has something goin for them.
I had a really strong hate for the original, and this doesn't help much. Shawty Lo has a long way to go before he can step to TI, and this song takes him a few steps back.
Not a big Shawty Lo fan at all. But, I think I could give this one a chance. Am I hearin things or did I hear the vocoder in there? Y is everybody doin that in there traz? Anyway is was a pretty decent track.
wasnt a huge fan of the original, I dont really like Shawty Lo on this, Birdman comes with the voicebox and it sucks, Rick Ross is aight on this, not the best song but Imma bump it for sure.
I am shocked that Baby is on a track w/o Wayne. I hope if they were someone separated, they have since found their way back to one another. What would this world be without Wayne and Baby together??? I don't want to even think about it. But in all seriousness, Shawty Lo gets out shined... again.
Lil' Wayne may not be on the track, but you can definately hear the influence on Baby with the voice box (was he being serious?) The original grew on me after a few spins, and I am diggin' that better than the remix. To be honest, I didn't really like anyone on this track!
The beat and background music are really cool but I'm not feeling them at all...they sound boring and I can't stand the voicebox anymore (and I got tired of Rick, too)
One more guy playin rappers… Shawty Lo’s inexistent, lazy, asthmatic, forced, silly and careless flow can only match his lyrics: “these rappers just raping, stay to the movie, they just acting (wonderful rhyme), what you’re doin Lo? I’m just laughing (another rhyme, wow), how you laughing? Ha ha ha ha” He’s lucky Soulja Boy is there to save him from being labelled the worst rapper alive. Anyone can be a rapper these days, damn!
lol @ MrHater yea its khaled again (it makes u think he behind every dam collabo these days.) I like da original betta but dis remix is tite. dis song grew on me.
beat str8 :p shawty lo is not good but listen to him make me laugh like hahaha / baby using voicebox!!!! wtf plz stop b yo self 4 real!!!!? / ross riped his part lol u already know it/ jones uh i like his flow but not my favorite :p good job tho / and shawty lo u are not the king of the south :p just making that clear!
Beat is good. Rick Ross is good. Have no idea why they put Jim or Baby on here, cause it didn't make it better, but really "I'm just laughing HA HA HA". Get that outa here. 3 stars for beat and Rick Ross.
Is baby on the voice box? Interesting. This is nothing special. Not worthy of replay. By the sound of the intro, I thought this was going to be a Nitti beat.
da beat is tight but i dont like the song.
it took dj khalad forever to introduce the song...he just kept talking.
and did i hear shawty lo say he da real bankhead??? i
and what is up with everyone using voice boxes?
thats gettin so annoying now
I liked the original and the only thing that ruins this song is Birdman using the T-Pain voicebox...he definately sounds wack with it...Rick Ross and Jim Jones do alrite...and Shawty Lo is decent
Rick is the only one worth hearing on here...I usually ride with Jim Jones..well he didnt do too bad on here but lets get to BABY AND SHAWTY LO...2 of the worst acting rappers on the face of the planet..Id buy Lil Mama before I buy one of there CD's...and Baby with the voicebox..he already horrible, why add insult to injury
his voice makes me sick, I'm not even waiting to see how the features do, not gonna rate. I'm sure everyone else does great. As soon as i heard the beat I thought "this could be decent" then shawty lo started and I shut if off... There have been some amazing rnb and rap leaks and buzz singles littering the worldwide web, ill go back to them. Wondering which ones are official singles that will find their way to the booth...
I hated the origional version of this song! His voice makes me wanna shoot a gun... in his direction, jk! Relax yall Seriously I can't stand this dude at all! I respect any man hustle, but his flow voice and content is against me in every way! I can't stand it! So far the remix is better than the og, Rick ross is one of my favorite new MCs he saves it for me.
He should have more bass in his voice, it's probably a gimmick. I know damn well ur voice is not suppose to sound that way. He sound like he ain't gettin enough air. He sound like a old man. Plus real gangstas don't say 'na na na na' lol! Shawty Lo is wack anyway. I usually ignore artists like him but yeah he wack.
But I really Like this song. It sounds pretty good beat wise and thats what I like banging beats. Though I dont like Shawty Lo too much either. 4.5 stars
