When a relationship is going well there’s nothing better, but when it’s going bad? Oh man…that’s about as low as you can get. Unfortunately Booth favorite Shawn Chrystopher knows only too well the depths to which females can sink when relationships go south, but lucky for us he’s channeled his frustration into a banging new track aptly titled Heartbreaker. Production wise Chrystopher teams up with the fantastically named Zaire Koalo for a synth-heavy, percussively driven beat that perfectly emphasizes the anger and regret he feels, while behind the mic he brings in newcomer Chris Focus for a emotionally restrained verse. In terms of Chrystopher’s rhymes, I think the hook says it all: “I f**k up sometimes I admit, but when you f**k up you don’t say s**t.” It’s not Shakespeare, but I think we can all relate. Heartbreaker is off the deluxe edition of his debut album A City With No Seasons, set to hit iTunes on November 17.

If Shawn isn't on your radar than that means that you probably just found DJBooth.net. Shawn isn't the prototypical emcee, but his passion is clear in both his production work and his vocals. The slowly moving beat is very heartfelt, as his the message that comes out of the song.

Goddamn, someone really didn't have a good break-up. This may not be the most technically perfect song, but the emotion's so real you can't help but feel it. Chrystopher delivers another smash.

I agree with @Z and @Nathan that Shawn Chrystopher's rhymes may not be lyrically complex, instead throughout "A City With No Seasons" his lyrics are pretty straightforward, at times leaving empty gaps where traditional emcees would throw in words, but it’s intentional and it works. Easy to connect with. Solid four stars.

Shawn gets rotation with this. I think he could have come more creative, it reminds me a little of Kanye's, Welcome to Heartbreak. But other than that. its cool. Shawn got better in him.

Is he talk'n bout Rhi Rhi and Chris Breezy???? This song gonna be hot becuz of the relavent topic. Timing is urything. Only downfall is the break (too much music minus lyrics)I would like to hear more of what's on his mind.
