When we last heard from Shareefa, she had just released her debut album Point of No Return and the Darkchild-produced singles Need A Boss and Cry No More. Since then, fellow female Shawnna has left the DTP label, thus making Reefa the new undisputed first lady of DTP. Ready to take advantage of the newfound attention, the singer is already hard at work on her upcoming sophomore album, tentatively titled The Secret. On the first buzz single, On Fire, Shareefa once again shows off her vocal strength and range, tackling the sprung-over-her-man issue, while accompanied by block-ready steel drum production and an eight-bar intro courtesy of Jadakiss. A little more of On Fire and this secret will be sold.

I personally think Shareefa is a good artist with loads of potential (to be featured on other big tracks, at the very least). Pretty good track; definitely missing a little something. Maybe a few more verses from Jadakiss... And DJ Z is right, DTP definitely needs get their lesser artists some better exposure. I don't think they really did shawnna justice. |

Def Jam has Jadakiss now, so I guess they are putting him to good use on this track. She is pretty average of a singer in my opinion. Jadakiss helps the track, but he can only do so much. In rotation I guess. |

She sounds like someone I know..but I can't think of it right now. She has a crazy voice and parts of this song sound choppy. I don't think she lives up to what Shawnna was but her unique voice may get her far. Jadakiss feature was worthless in my opinion. In rotation. |
