With the rave Booth reviews he garnered for previously-featured cuts Grey Area and Knuckle Up, Shane Eli has every reason to feel like a champ – but even the highest praise from outside parties is no replacement for a healthy dose of self-esteem. On newly-leaked mixtape cut I’m a Winner (making its world premiere in the Booth!), the L.A. hopeful gives himself a much-deserved pat on the back, taking a lyrical victory lap over his own upbeat, organ-laced production. There’s no denying Eli’s mic skills, or his versatility on both sides of the boards – could he be destined, as he prophesizes here, to develop into “greatest of all time” material?” It’s a little (OK, a lot) early to start speculating, but we can’t discount the possibility. In the meantime, fans can look forward to hearing plenty more from this prodigiously talented up-and-comer on his forthcoming, DJBooth.net-sponsored mixtape, The Push.

Shane is on a mean streak of K. Sparks proportions. Only regular Booth readers will know exactly what I am talking about, but one listen to the new "I'm A Winner" and it'll all make sense for everyone.

anyways back too this track yea its cool im really digging his flow thats hott and he goes in on this beat dicing it up real bad doing his thing on it. beat is nice complement too his flow aswell love the addition of trumpets on this track. this track isa "to be classic" so i give it 4 stars real real straight!!!!!!! |

Kinda forgot who SHane Eli was til I saw his picture here. I liked his previous works. The organ on this track is alright but it does it's thing. Yes I agree the production from K has been really tight. He wins me over for this song just cause I love his verses and creative lines. He makes should be added to the group of artists who have shined this week. I believe he should be up there with J. Cole. It's a good song and definitely worth each of the 4 stars.

Watz good, my DJBooth brothers! I haven't been on here in a while so this is actually my first time listening to Shane Eli. After reading the reader comments I was expecting something good and I wasnt left dissapointed. Great lyrics, this boy definitely got some rhymes! The choruse and the oragn on the boards are really catchy and I like how the bass is kept to a minimum.
Shane Eli got potential! Solid song. |

im feelin the all-around rap but not the production so much...not feelin the chord progression in it so i couldn't vibe...but if the production was good enough this could of been a 4.5 star rating

Before I speak about this track...DJBooth get rid of that damn spammer "fasdf".
Both of Shane's previous tracks have impressed me...and of course this is no different. He has natural rapping talent and he just knows exactly what to say and how to make a great track. He's a "winner" in my book. His production was great and supplied plenty of power to allow him to spit his rhymes. I like the use of many instruments to supply the beat especially the organ that was consistent throughout. He even brings wordplay and lyrics with a nice hook to add to the overall value of the track! I just keep getting more and more impressed by him. |

The man can flow, there's no denying it. However, if I can be allowed one small detraction, there can be too much of a good thing, and I would have liked to hear Eli step back just a shade and let the beat breathe a little bit.
But that shouldn't overshadow the overall quality. Eli kills it, once again. Keep em comin man.

Shane Eli, where have you been all my life? He did a nice job with this track. As soon as the beat kicked in he started dropping line after line and I had no choice but to pay attention. Production was pretty cool, especially the organ.
Shane is no where near my top 10, but "The Winner" is a very unique track. He displayed consistency on all three verses and he is definitely on my radar. All together I would rate this a solid 3.5 with a semi-decent amount of replay value. |

It could be because its 2AM right now and I'm trying to get thrugh these features, but Shane is gonna need to grow on me a little more before I can form my opinion about him as an artist. He's def. getting there for me, but I need a few more tracks to convince me.
