Shane Eli - Happiest Regret [Premiere]
Artist: Shane Eli
Producer: Shane Eli
Album: DJBooth.net Presents: The Push
Label: Unsigned
Have you ever experienced a long night of drinking that resulted in uncertain feelings about the sketchy details from the night before? I’m not talking about waking up with Mike Tyson’s tiger like in The Hangover, I’m talking about waking up next to someone you shouldn’t get involved with, but couldn’t help yourself. Shane Eli is apparently familiar with such a situation and he tells us all about it on his new premiere Happiest Regret. On Happiest Regret, Shane reflects on romantically twisted relationships, bringing us deep inside the feelings and emotions running rampant through his mind and heart: “What’s right is wrong, you’re exactly what regret is for, this isn’t sex this is a night to settle scores.” Shane, of course, produced the ballad-esque, piano driven tune and enlists newcomer Kamilah Gibson to sing the beautifully soulful chorus and more, giving us a laid-back duet with a coffee shop vibe. Look out for Shane Eli to join our Freestyle Series, and of course check out his forthcoming project DJBooth.net Presents: The Push, available in June. We promise you won’t regret it.

Week after week Shane continues to show off his versatile nature. Most artists would have a hard time transitioning from "Haters" to "Happiest Regret," but he seems to do so with ease. I have a feeling this might be his highest rated feature to date. We shall see.

Z's right that this will be the highest rated of his music so far. I've been giving the man Bangers each week he appeared, but this one is the best I've heard yet, so I gotta give him the 5 stars which he earned. Very versatile artist we have here.

Love Eli's versatility! It's cool how he slows his words in this song, and Kamilah on the hook is an excellent touch, I can see these two working again definetly. Very laid back, nice message that Eli thought he'd share. Keep em' coming!

He's great with this track. There are so many good things about it, from the hook all the way to the lyricism. He changed his whole style, and i like that.

Love Shane's range - in terms of his music as well as his message. Kamilah's beautiful voice is just right.

I already has high expectations for Shae, but after this track I've got to raise them ever higher. The fact that he can do hard cuts (Haters) and outright ballads like this prove he's got some incredible versatility (shades of B.o.B. anyone?).
Let's not ignore Kamilah either. My first time hearing her, but she's got a beautiful voice. |

I like the Female vocalist the most. I've never heard of this artist before so my opinion is unbiased. He's okay, sounds like he's on the drake band wagon. I just need something original.

Shit is crazy feeling a lot of heart in this the vocals were nice and smooth but this song lacked energy in it the best part was the chorus.

I feel like by the time his project drops there are only gonna be like three tracks that haven't been featured. All jokes aside, this was a very smooth track and definitely my favorite out of all the ones that have premiered.
Hook work Kamilah was fantastic. She sounded perfect on this track. All the instrumentals in the production only helped make this track better and Shane... he was dope as usual. Been on my radar for awhile now and I think it is about time "The Push" saw the light of day. Solid effort. |

This one was kinda too slow for me. The production is nice, and Kamilah's vocals are good. Shane Eli sounded boring on this one, liked his previous tracks better.

i am seeing shades of B.o.B @Nathan. Kamilah was very nice, her vocal range is quite good. Shane once again brings out another banger without another completely different angle. brilliant!

This track couldn't get better. The female vocals on the hook are classic, and Shane's verses and flow couldnt be better. The bar has been raised alright.
