When you think of Switzerland, what comes to mind? Idyllic views of the Alps, dark chocolate, Swiss army knives, or the banking system? Well, allow me to introduce you to another of the country’s claims to global fame: a pop singer by the name of Seven, who’s making his Booth debut with this new remix of Go Slow. On the album cut, the Timbo-esque singer waxes poetic about kickin’ back and taking it easy,  crooning over a DJ Premier-produced beat fueled by Euro-poppy synth swishes and snarls.  The highlight of this remix (and the reason it grabbed our attention) comes courtesy of Talib Kweli, who takes Seven’s easygoing philosophy and spits hot fire back onto the track like Swiss tennis great Roger Federer returning a volley at the Wimbledon. If you dig this track, be sure to check out Seven’s latest LP; Like A Rocket is available now online.

I listened to the original first. Liked it. Then I listened to this new remix. Loved it. Talib was the perfect emcee to flow over this production. This is a pop-rap combo made for mass appeal.

It's been awhile since I actually commented but I had to on this one just because of Premo. But damn how long has it been since The Booth featured a DJ Premier track? What's he like 43 now? And still nobody can even come close to the work that he does. And I love his XM/Sirius show that's on every Friday night.

I've never heard of Senen before, but I really liked this song. And Talib killed it, just like he always does.

What It Is DJBooth? Hey seven has some hot vocals on this one. I love the mellow beat and Premier's infamous scratching.I always been a fan of Talib Kweli so it's no suprise that his verse was hot.

Always love these Across The Pond/Alternative posts on booth...

DJ Premier providing all the scratchwork + Smooth vocals on beats + Talib ripping the lyrics = musical fatness.

This guy has a smooth voice and it works well with the production. Talib never fails at ripping a beat. A multiple listening track.

This put Seven on my radar. Smooth collaboration over sick production.

PREMO!!!!!!!! I like this, different from his usual sound. Seven was cool on this. His vocals flowed nicely with the production. You know Kweli fits right in on smooth beats. Reminds me of his old Reflection Eternal days, speaking of which, whats up wit that new project?

I just went to his webite, and the original sounds like up-beat Robin Thicke, which is good. The original is more my style, but both versions are great.
