Seven ft. Ja Rule - R U Coming With Me?

Contributed by Lochy N.

Listen to More: Club, Collaborations

Seven, the newest R&B cat out of the The Inc camp, asks ladies the most important question a man can when the night draws to an end in his new single R U Coming With Me? Pulling double duty acting as singer and producer, Seven tempts girls to come back to his place while Ja Rule makes an appearance letting it be known that his “nightlife” is a wild ride that women need to hop on to. Smoothness, being the cornerstone of any playa’s game, is the essential to the song’s vibe, even thought the music itself leans more toward a JT’s Future Sex/Love Sounds feel.

This is straight pop, not hip-hop, even with Ja Rule.  Anyone disagree?

Pop as it may be in nature, you can’t help but move to it.  Nice song to get a party started.  Besides listening to a little Justin right about is bound to get somebody bouncing.  This song is just right for a club setting, of course unless you like standing in the corner trying to show how Gangsta you are.

I got nothin against pop, I’ll get down to my fair share of JT.  The lines between hip-hop and pop are being blurred(hip-pop), it makes you have to answer the question “what is hip-hop?” Definitely something worth thinking about.

im seeing most facets of music, whether it’s Hip-Hop, R&B, or all the variations of rock, all have a tendancy of delving into the Pop realm of things and almost becoming a entire entity of in itself. if you want to ask “what is Hip-Hop?” you also gotta ask the other “what is...” music questions because Pop has distorted all genres. but seeing that this isnt a forum or anything.... Ja Rule is wack and has been wack for years! at first the dude is all hard, then he gets soft, but then he tries to be hard again and fails. he’s like a malfunctioning dick! ha-HA!
