Back in early February, Selasi made his Booth debut with Keep On, a street anthem that managed to be simultaneously motivational and all-too-realistically bleak. The latest leak off the Ghanian singer/songwriter/producer’s forthcoming street album (also making its world premiere at DJBooth.net!) finds him once again balancing the gritty with the uplifting, paying tribute to Souljas struggling to grind their way out of inner-city hoods everywhere. This time around, guest duties fall to Sweet Georgia/I Can’t Tell emcee CyHi Da Prynce; over the headliner’s driving, synth-heavy boardwork, the ATL up-and-comer gives us a look into the mind of a ghetto survivor, warning those who would stand in the way of his hustle, “I ain’t a killer but I’ve got it in me.” Does Selasi’s street-certified blend of reggae, pop and hip-hop sound just as good the second time around? If you think so, you’ll be able to hear plenty more on his forthcoming mixtape, Coming to America. Keep it locked for release details, as well as all the latest tunes!

It's hard to find artists who are capable of creating material with a bouncy, catchy melody that tries to relay somewhat serious items on their personal agenda. Here, Selasi manages to do that. While I prefer his vocal performance to his production efforts, the song works.

As for the guest feature work... be on the lookout for Mr. Prynce. We featured his work several times last year, but with a recent co-sign from Kanye he will soon be all over the net. Just watch.

Title threw me off a bit but once I turned the song on, I got into it. I like how this guy brings a different sound to the game. This definitely had my head nodding and CyHi Da Prynce had a solid verse. 3.5, looking out for this guy though.

Not my type of track, the vocals and production sound like they're clashing with eachother. As in the instrumental is trying to accomplish one thing, and the artist is going the other way.

Honestly, I'm not sure where to go on this one. On first listen I just couldn't connect (too light and airy), on the second listen I really started feeling it, and then by the third listen I was back to where I started. Maybe it's one of those tracks you just have to be in the right mood for.

Oh, and CyHi's verse was decent, nothing to write home about.

Wasn't expecting verses to be done in half rapped, half sung way. The delivery doesn't really works for the beat, in my opinion. And then their pedestrian lyrics also fails to inspire further spins.

This song is really good but at the same time, I didn't find it anything too exciting .. I really dug the flow by CyHi towards the end of the song
