If you think Solange Knowles had a problem stepping out from behind her older sister’s enormous shadow, imagine being the younger brother of the music industry’s biggest producer, Timbaland. On Take It Off, a brand new record off Sebastian‘s upcoming release, the primary focus, as would be expected, is the production and chorus from big brother Timbo.  Will the crutch of top-notch production hinder this emerging emcee?  You can find out yourself later this year, when Cruel Intentions (a mixtape/DVD combo) is released off Mosley Music Group/Interscope.

Beat is average for being a Timbaland production(kinda dissapointed). But thats not the focus here Lyrics needs some work. Overall his little bro Sebastian needs some seasoning in the game. 2.5 for me

This dude is getting free beats from Timbaland. How lucky is he? I agree wiith THEDRACTOVATE he does sound like Tim's partner in crime, Magoo, but not as constipated. Not one of Tim's best beats. Lil bro got some work ahead of him.

I think he should step back under timba's shadow, cause this is no where near good enough. I don't think the beat and production helped it that much either. It is a very complex and interesting beat, but it just isn't very appealing.

I don't like this beat at all. Not good! Sabastian is cool, but he gonna have to bring it stronger than this if he wants to get from behind Timbo. Timbo gotta show his bro more love and give him a beat that that will put the man on the map 4ever. Like he did for so many others. The neat does pick up I have to admit. But still not a banger!

What are y’all talking about?!? :D This must be a joke… this beat is CRAZY!!! One of the best I heard from Timbo lately, missed hear something rap driven from him! Very complex but every feature works well! The beat alone deserves 4*!!! The background string instrument throughout is too catchy! Sebastian doesn’t add much, but he doesn’t steal anything from the song either! Man I wish I had an old brother like Timbo! :p

Umm FredRico I can see like this beat but its not Timberlands best beat. I mean hes made beats a lot better then this. I mean listen to Elevator thats a hot beat or this song I dont know if you know this but its a song called 3AM by Young Jeezy. The beat on that song Is Amazing!! Its one of the best beats ive heard on a song especially the hook it sounds really good. Again If you never heard of it you need to find that song again because the beat is crazy. But thats why I dont get why He wouldent give his brother a better beat. Maybe its because he got it for free and the other artists PAID$$$$

Naw, I'm not really feeling this too much. I actually also agree wit Matthew about this not being one of Timbo's best beats. But I would have used a more vintage example of a better production, like Aaliyah's "Are You that Somebody" or anything he did for Ginuwine or something. LOL. 3AM by Young Jeezy is definitely not Timbaland's BEST beat either. But I'm really not feeling this song. It's not bad, but it's not really to my liking.

maybe you’re right Matthew, he could have got a better beat from his bro. I know both songs you’re talking about and especially 3am was a big surprise recently to me cuz nobody talked about that song and I had to listen to the whole Jeezy album (thanx to RealG00nsShoot) to get it: it’s a great beat! But then again, if you chose your favourite basketball player, would that mean all the others were not good?! I think this beat is great, only Timbo has made better.
PS: If we gon discuss Timbo’s best beat :p I’d choose “More than a woman”, although I think “Are U that somebody” comes pretty close.

Beat is average for Tim. Lyrically, Sebastian is a recycled artist. Can only hope he strays off his brother path of club-hopping tracks, onto some lesson-learnt stuff.

Timbo beats are always on point. I wish I could say the same for his young brother. The beat difinatly makes this.

Well I've heard another song by Sebastian, produced by his bro Timbo, it's called Hey Lil' Lady...I had great expectations about it, but I got disappointed...I found it horrible and deleted it from my pc! This seems not to be much better...the beat is fresh (I agree with FredRico) but I'm sorry the song is boring, not as great as many typical Timbo's songs! He is my fav producer, but I love it when he creates beats like Moving Mountains, Apologise, Elevator, or those he created for Matt Pokora, a French r&b singer (check out for She's Dangerous where Sebastian was a guest or Catch Me If You Can). it's ok for the beat

"Moving Mountains" isn't produced by Timbaland and "She's Dangerous" isn't produced by him neither to be exact, its produced by Hannon Lane. what was the last album u bought?

I cannot help but think that this beat has been sitting around for a while in Timbo's catalog. I need to ask Sebastian when this was done. Maybe it's because his sound is a straight throwback to the old Timbo style? I don't know. It seems like this is bothering several people. I am on the fence.

Hey guys the sample from "Take it off" is taken from "Ritas Sakelariou" song called "Αυτος ο ανθρωπος"(This Man) an old GREEK song which was released in the mid 60s...it is confirmed and i give you the link to hear it for your self: http://www.sansimera.gr/galleries/audio/?id=87 . It may sound weird but it's true...i still cant believe that timbo listens to "Rebetiko" kind of music...(Rebetiko is a genre of greek music and this song belongs to that kid of music)

Big-A thank u for writing this...you know, I haven't always info about the producers, so I'm wrong sometimes! Just thought Dangerous was produced by Timbo as he was in it and the beat was very similar to many of his songs (well he produced almost the entire album of Matt Pokora, of this I am totally sure!). The last album I bought was that of Timbaland (Shock Value), but I didn't like it very much...the best songs came out (Scream, The Way I Are...), the others I didn't enjoy so much...I guess I am not an hip-hop-album-girl, I only like a song here, a song there

Your right there FredRico I mean I cant think of a current NBA player I like the most right now but theres Definently more then one good player in the NBA. But this beat right here again is just ok to me. Again Timberland has multiple good beats like another song in Madonna 4 minutes to save the world that song has a really good beat to I listen to that all the time. Again just as there is multiple good basketball players there are multiple good Timberland beats but just not this one to me.

it sounds like Timbo, cause it was produced by Hannon who is a inhouse producer for Timbaland Productions.
@Muzzie Boi
ironically Tim also didn't produce "Indian Flute" despite what the credits say. And to go on, it's actually not indian, it's a colombian sample they used - unauthorized. at least the sample isn't in the liner notes

Although I have been a MAJOR FAN of Timbo's for 14 years, too many of his records suffer from stupid lyrics and horrible vocals...as does this one here... It get 1 star ONLY due solely to Mosely's production.
