Sean Paul, or as he apparently likes to call himself, “Sean-a Paul-a,” has found enormous success in the past with his island-soaked romantic ballads, a tradition he hopes to continue with his new track, Hold My Hand, the third single off his long-awaited album Imperial Blaze. Unlike the album version, this go around for Hold My Hand includes the always impeccable Keri Hilson, a welcome addition that gives the slowly paced track a much needed woman’s touch. Personally, I prefer when Sean Paul uses his musical gifts to inspire some dance floor frenzy, but all the ladies out there - and guys looking to attract said ladies – will likely have Hold My Hand on repeat. Will this track be the spark to finally set sales of Imperial Blaze on fire? That, DJBooth listeners, is up to you.

I quite like this song - better once Hilson starts singing on the track!!! the original is not as good as this one... much too slow for my liking needed another verse or somthing but i hope this gets some good feedback as its a decent song

lol emma, i likes it too. This is the stuff you can look to Sean Paul for. Keri aint a bad look either. This is a real chill track. Really short though, it cudd be a banger if there was more of it.

I've heard some criticism about this one, but I really dug it. I thought it was a nice chill track. Some people don't like his singing on here, but I didn't think he sounded off pitch or whatever on here at all. Nice soothing beat and it had a nice vibe. Keri sounded good too. I'm diggin this side of Sean Paul.

Keri Hilson brings her sting of hits with her and this should be enough to keep Sean's name on the charts for a few more months. I agree with Nathan, though, in that Paul is BEST served blazing the dance floor (which this won't be during).

This song will FLOP, mark my word. Sean has lost his flare.

Just like every other song on "Imperial Blaze" this is neither a FLOP nor a HIT. It's just ... there.

What can I say? I'd rather be bumping and grinding to a Sean Paul song than holding my ladies' hand. Shallow? Yes. Honest? Yes. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go throw on Press It Up.

not a bad song but I've heard many other songs like this. It's so typically Sean Paul's! Good for a radio play

I am not sure if its because I am older or what but I like it.. It is a change from the current music we are hearing. It is repetitive but nice. 3.75 starts

A remix of J-status & Shontell's "Pieces"? I'm confused, but its a good track. Good energy for being a slow song. However I already fell in love with this tune when J-status had it. J had more strength & feeling to it

WHY oh WHY are they pushing this? Sean should stick to the club bangers. This is one of my least-favorite tracks on the album, the remix is better, but not much better. J-Status & Shontelles track is still in rotation and I'll give this a miss...
