After the chart-topping success of his last two albums, Dutty Rock and The Trinity, pop-reggae star Sean Paul is going back to his street roots. On the remix to his street single Serious (Gun Dem Bark), the original beat and reggae collaborator (Busy Signal) are maintained, but Busta Rhymes (non-reggae, but of Jamaican heritage) jumps on board. Consider Busta’s low-toned verse the calm before the storm as the power and energy of classic Busta eventually shine through. Mix it all together, and that’s some Serious-ly pulsing power for the dancehalls!
Listen to Sean Paul's Serious (Gun Dem Bark (Remix) ft. Busta Rhymes & Busy Signal More songs from Sean Paul
i disagree. i like da beat, its something different and kinda new 4 sean paul but i think he sounds ok on this trak even tho im not a fan.
Busta does his thing on dis trak! i love his verse! good work
It's not bad, but I don't find Busta's style works well with sean paul's style. Busta's first couple reggae verses sounded like he was barking (though it might be intentional; Gun Dem Bark). Essentially, sean paul should stick to the club hits he's used to doing.
When listening to a song like this, you need to keep in mind the atmosphere it was meant to be played in. Was Sean Paul thinking, "Man, I hope this sounds tight out of computer speakers"? No. He was thinking, "Damn, this would sound amazing in a dancehall club."
This aint nothing special definitely not a banger from Sean Paul like we are used to....Busta sounds the same on every song he is on....Sometimes it works (i.e Hurt) and sometimes it doesnt...no versatility
Sean Paul loves rocking with Busta, but this one isn't really smooth like their other work. It's a weird beat and it doesn't really mesh that well. It's OK...I actually like the other guy better than sean and busta!
This ish is tight, more hardcore beat than his usual fare lately. Like Z said this would be appreicated more at a dancehall club than a regular top 40 hit club.
I PERSONALLY WOULDNT GO CRAZY IF I HEARD DIS N A CLUB...ITS NOT MUCH OF A DANCE SONG LIKE IM USED TO FROM SEAN PAUL...N I NORMALLY LUV HIM N BUSTA TOGETHA BUT DIS ONE DIDNT WORK FOR ME.....
I like all the artist on here but it didn't work this time, but Busy Signal ripped it!
Busta flow is un matched he not the fast it but he realy knows how to, if you will bardon the expression chase a beat!
6-10
I had to leave a comment for this one. Simply put. It's not a pop tune. It's more for the real dancehall hardcore fans that listen to riddims like powercut, artillery and stuff like that. If u don't know bout them kinda stuff then chances are u won't be feeling this.
With that being said, as far as a gun session tune as I like to call it. It's actually not bad. Busy is my boy and Busta's verse is pretty on point as usual. I loving the hook. For the hardcore dancehall fans, watch me get a dubplate off of this one. lol.
To DJ Yank: HELL NO!! NOT the best. lol @ DJ Z'z comment bout the speakers. But I like it, I think its ok. Yeah it would sound hott inna club, but I wouldn't be BUMPIN this...it jus sounds like another tracc on a cd-not a good single.
