When it comes to love and attraction, is it really what’s inside that counts? If your answer is “Yes,” I’ve got a Mother Teresa swimsuit calendar you might be interested in. Okay, okay, that’s a little cynical—for a second opinion, we turn to Sean Kingston, who’s back with the second single off his forthcoming Tomorrow LP (due out September 22nd). On the newly-released Face Drop, the dancehall-pop hitmaker lets a female who gives him grief over his weight know that, if she’s not going to appreciate him for him, he’s better off on his own. Backed by Lucas Secon‘s midtempo, synth-heavy boardwork and featuring a hook as catchy as just about anything Kingston’s come up with, this cut has enough club/radio appeal to give Fire Burning a run for its money. Here’s hoping the superficial shorty Kingston’s addressing here hasn’t turned him off the idea of hopping on the treadmill, though—physical fitness means a longer life, and that means more catchy tunes for all the fans who already like Kingston just the way he is.

You know, in a way I hate catchy songs because I can't get them OUT OF MY HEAD (really I love them, though)! I'm singing them all the time, it's ridiculous. This goes into that category. I'm puttin this in rotation, because it's gonna get a lot of plays in my rotation in the near future.

I feel ya @GStan_10 ... As much I was hatin on "Fire Burning" that ish is stuck on me now ... but this is just OK ... The beat gots a nice vibe and some bounce with heavy synths, eh? but then again Sean doesn’t do anything new with it. 2.5

mh, you hit hit on the head with that twin thing lol. until you started releasing tracks on here, i actually thought you were using sean kingstons picture as your own, no lie lol. but anyways this song is decent. nothing too special. 3 stars in rotation. it's almost catchy lol

This is not a bad track in my opinion.
The hook became catchy after a while. I feel like this track is definately in rotation, not quite banger status, but I could hear this playing on the radio. |
