How did the term “geek” go from referring to a sideshow performer, to being synonymous with “nerd,” to describing a state of extreme, possibly drug-fueled excitement? Beats me – language works in mysterious ways. In any case, those who want to be on the cutting edge of modern slang can take their cues from Sean Garret‘s latest offering, She Geeked. On this remixed version of the mixtape cut, the brand new Roc Nation/Columbia signee trades original collaborators Tyga and Gucci Mane for three bigger names: joining Garrett over the schizophrenic production of Blac Elvis are NYC vet Busta Rhymes, guest-rapper extraordinaire Ludacris, and Chi-town motormouth Twista. Together, the collaborators serve up a veritable smorgasboard of larger-than life delivery, head-spinning flows and (in the headliner’s case) smooth sung vocals. She Geeked (Remix) is set for inclusion on Sean Garrett’s yet-untitled stateside debut (his second album, in total), which is scheduled to drop sometime next year. In the meantime, fans can find the original version of the joint on Garrett’s the Inkwell street album, released August 24, and available now online.

I have long been a fan of Garrett's work behind-the-scenes as a songwriter and producer, but its been difficult to get too excited about his own material - which is why his other debut never really amounted to much Stateside. Regardless, it seems like he has both an intriguing record and a great new situation for himself. Kudos on both, because this line-up speaks for itself.

I often dont like songs like this but this is just fire. Everything is cool but ludacris spitting the line about lebron. Lebron is wack. Cleveland!

Whoa Twista... That's the flow I've been longing for for a while! While I'm not a fan of this record (Doesn't know if it's RnB or Street)... I can admire the lyricists on offer, right?

WOWW production killed me on this. the switch up in Luda's verse! look out for that. it seemed to me as the song continued, the verses just kept going harder and harder.

It sounded like Sean was outshined on his on own track by Luda and Twista...Busta was meh, wasn't really feeling his bars. Good beat but Sean didn't really own this track which is probably a good thing because I wasn't feeling his contribution.

Better than the orginial. Busta and Luda were great but I would of prefered someone other than Twista. Still a nice song, I love this hook and the beat is banging.
