Following his ‘07 Mr. International mixtape (which featured the likes of Eminem, Rhymefest, and Le’Che Martin among others), Milwaukee’s underground king Scottie Knoxx looks to kick off ‘08 with a bang. Using his strong connections, the Division 1 soldier brings out frequent musical partner Mike Payne and his Animal House production team to help him “do what he do” on Get It On. As the song goes, despite trying to live a luxurious lifestyle (e.g., popping Krug Rose bottles at the Chicago Four Seasons with a side of escargot), Knoxx’s heart and soul will always be in the hood. Scottie’s sophomore LP, Gorilla Monsoon, should hit the streets later this year.
Hailing from Chicago, I am always happy to see other Midwest artists send us their material. Milwaukee has been slept on for 20+ years in the Hip-Hop game and they have some true talent. Maybe Scottie can help them get there, but unfortunately, this one isn't going to do the trick.
YEA IM LUV-N DA CHORUS 2!! Dis iz hot- im in luv wit da beat also...but his rap gets boring aftr a while doe. It should be a 3 but ill give it a four jus cuz i luv da chorus a lot- and da beat:)
~MJB~ i agree completly with you but its getting harder and harder to stand out with out people completly hating your shit just so they can get another CrUNKer or Club Banger no one aprciates tight flows and lyricism anymore
The beat and the chorus definitely stands out. Other than that it is alright. Mike Payne should of done more than just the hook. I never heard of him but the boy can sing. Only reason song gets a high rating.
The song as a whole is O.K. the beat gives this song an O.K. I would love to hear the beat in the club with someone else on the beat, let me just through a name out there, T.I.? I say he would be the best!
can anybody here help me out and tell me where u can download this song. im really digging it and i have looked everywhere and the only way you can download is to buy the single. Im lookin for a way to get this on my ipod for free
