With summer on the cusp of turning into autumn, I hope y’all are spending plenty of time outside, enjoying the beautiful weather—with regular breaks to listen to the latest tunes in The DJBooth, of course. Previously introduced to our pages with June’s Sunset Strip, Scoe returns with the perfect jam to bump in your ride or headphones while you soak up the late-August sun. On End of Summer, Hi-Tek flips a soulful vocal sample into a slow-rolling backdrop for the Philly-to-L.A. transplant’s verses, which find him indulging in a few of his favorite summertime activities (kush-smoking, liquor-swilling, riding in his drop-top…) in the company of plenty of beautiful, scantily-clad women. Tha Influence has yet to receive a release date, but fans can look forward to the set’s lead single, titled Thank You and featuring Kendrick Lamar, in the near future. Additionally, keep it locked for details on Scoe’s forthcoming mixtape/digital EP, due out prior to the album’s arrival.

Traditional west coast sound, but the real star here is producer Hi-Tek. Scoe is solid, but the production could cary just about anyone.
