Arizona has that heat that makes roadkill sizzle on the streets, thus it makes perfect sense that Phoenix transplant Scholar breezes air-conditioned lyrics on his brand new, smoothed-out single, Intoxicating. Featured vocals from Archapello give this track an extra push, but those unfamiliar with the duo may attribute the ‘ooh’’s and ‘ahh’’s to moaning sound-master The-Dream. (The comparisons aren’t that canny, though.) Scholar’s artistic flow over ‘Pello’s R&B-driven production has not only built this young up-and-comer into an underground sensation in Arizona, but proves he might just have what it takes to make it on the big stage. Intoxicating marks the arrival of a promising Southwestern artist… one not named Willy Northpole.

evn tho i dont lyk that hard clap-n in tha beta- thiz still gud. he haz a nice voice...cuda been a real-e sex-c song but the beat needed to be smoother and softer for that to hap-n. itza shame, thiz had tha potential of being real-e hott...itz still gud tho. in rot.

umm i don't know how to put this, but it has an over-do-it boy band type chorus... but its generally good. Something to listen to on a rainy day i guess, but don't get me wrong its good.

Yea beat is smooth. I like the production so far. Rapping is subpar. In fact wack. Give me the instrumental. I can listen to that as well as the hook. But dude rappin is not on point in any way. 4 for the beat. -2 for the rappin!

Indie artist to be on the lookout for... relaxed vibe, not full of himself and in control of the track. A little louder on the vocals, but nothing that will hold him back.

This track has a nice feel...the beat is super and he sings very well! It's a sweet and simple song but kinda enjoyable to my ears!
