The 177th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Scheme, the Chi-town native who brought us Broke back in early April. On his brand new, previously-unreleased A Pleasure Spittin’ freestyle , the Molemen Inc. emcee flows over a Boi-1da-produced instrumental originally featured on Drake‘s It’s Been a Pleasure. Scheme is currently preparing to drop the deluxe edition of his latest mixtape, Same Rebel, Different Cause, as well as working on a full-length studio album.

Love the passion in his vocals. You cannot fake that. The transitions from one line to another are also real impressive. I wouldn't say effortless, but they flow real real well. Although the beat choice is a little sleepy, Scheme comes out on top.

Scheme is an emcee that is definitely on the rise. He is definitely putting in work this year. The flow and lyrics are definitely choice.

Scheme always comes with 100% of himself, and this is no different. It's almost ridiculous how many dope emcess the Chi has, and Scheme's definitely one to watch out for. Definitely a worthy addition to our series - we're just starting to hear what Scheme is capable of.

Not bad, overall solid, I agree with the things people are saying about the beat, I like this beat but uptempo makes you stand out more for the freestyle series

kinda a dissapointment...dudes lyrics are nice, has alot of passion yu can here it in him, jsut wish it reflected in his work a lil more. dudes above me got it right, beat needs to be harder or faster or SOMETHING! overall a nice freestyle only giving it a 3 cuz the lyrics are so nice but production gets a 0 from me.

I've never heard this beat before, but it's nice. Scheme sounds nice on this. Definitely has that truth in his voice in this.

Scheme has alot of potential. His flow is so smooth. I like this alot but think it would have been real cool with a female vocalist on the hook. With this beat I could hear someone like Keyshia cole, or Alicia Keys on the hook. Sounds like one of those struggle/hardship type songs that they do so well. Great production from Boi-1da. I can pretty much expect to get great production every time from Boi-1da. Really good song.

Scheme has what it takes to be a star and its showed here. He has been working hard to get his name out there by working with stars like Drake and pairing up with Boi-1da. now specifically on this song his verses are all good and has great flow. the beat is ok but could be better.
