The South is represented strongly on rapper Scarface‘s possible second single, Forget About Me, off the forthcoming Emeritus. The record, which features a hilarious Lil’ Wayne rant, also includes a guest feature from UGK‘s Bun B that confirms no one will soon ”forget about the Pimp.” Produced by Cool & Dre, this bass-and-drum heavy track, which includes a soulful sample that keeps the record grounded in 2002, sounds like it might have been a better fit on Face’s The Fix than Emeritus. But while the heart of Houston continues where he left off on last year’s Made, its clear that this slab-rocker was meant to garner the attention of today’s current street soldiers. Emeritus is currently set for release later this fall on Asylum Records.
Damn, this is hard! Scarface And Bun B, two of the hardest hitters in the game, not to mention 2 of the most respected veterans, teaming up with Weezy on a fire track. Scarface gets props on here for embracing the new wave of hip hop, but this song is hot regardless. Production bangs hard and its a crazy Southside joint. Banger.
scarface is the highlight of this one, but Weezy finally comes back to what i used to love. Just flowin, no voice recordin, and goin hard. This is fire. Scarface one of the greatest of all time from the South. Bun B too.
The production and sample is mad nuts! Lil Wayne never was my favorite rapper before his voice box era, but on his newer tracks where he is abandoning the vocoder, he is dropping HEAT. First the Drake tracks and now this verse. I never was a Scarface fan either, but he smashed this track. It's good that old heads are moving along with the new wave of hip hop instead of being stuck in the past and trying to come at new school heads. Cool & Dre are some premiere producers man. I'm loving their work. Bun B comes hot too. I liked his energy. I will throw this in rotation.
This is destructive. 3 of the most respected MCs rap has to offer. Weezy has been hitting harder than he has in the past few months. Scarface is still a real OG who's consistant music has him high on my list of MCs. Bun B caps this off well as only he can. No need for a hook here, this is simply hip hop.
Nice to finally see wayne back in form after the trash he has been dropping lately. This verse and his Drake songs give us hope that he is back. Bun B drops and nice verse and cool and dre have some nice production as usual.
I heard this song a couple days ago and all I could say is WOW. But I thought I heard somebody say that this is going to be Scarfaces last album? I hope that's not true.
I agree, J Worthy, "The Fix" was one of Face's best. This collaboration feels real good, nobody tried to outdo anyone else on the track. As for rumors that this is Face's last album, I will reach out to his people tomorrow to confirm. Don't believe everything you read on the net...
Lil Wayne absolutely ruined this track. SHUT THE @*#$! UP you retarded soundin @*#$!.. who other than this fag spits a line and then chuckles afterwards as though it was something incredibly clever??
otherwise.. this song is nice.. Bun and Face came off nice. It's an easy 5 outside of Waynes verse.
DAMN boyyyy....this @*#$! is bananas...
i dont know why people hatin on wayne sayin "nice to see him back"
people change, tastes and styles change...dude is out there getting on 90% of songs being a @*#$! rockstar experimenting...nothign wrong with that
adamp360, watch the words, family site, not one for you to come on and type curse words, yea i cuss sometimes, but i dont do it on the site because of respect, get some,
THIS SONG is CRAZY though, i reallllllly loved the intro!, sounded like something that came out of a Temptations track, that would be a great soft song ballad lol, beat dropped hard!, every person on this shined HUGEE!! I think Wayne realizes Tha Carter 3 wasn't as good as he expected it to be himself and now he's going out and killin tracks to make up for it, Scarface is steppn his game up, he knows theres alot of new artists ready to take the spotlight, and he's puttin them in there right place, THE BACK OF THE LINE! lmao Bun B killed it to, he just jumped outta no where to me, BANGERR!!!
awww damn... bub b and wayne wuda dun gud on a track togetha dat i wuda liked if if didnt have thiz type of beat but wuteva...i'll still give it a 2 to support.
Like I said before Cool & Dre have to be producers of the year they have came out with fire all year for all different type of artists this is another hot track. Face , Wayne & Bun all spit evenly good on here.
kayleb..
so the only comment you had for my comment was to say don't cuss?? sorry dad.
you talk about respect? i don't respect Wayne and I'll state it how I feel like stating it.
I'm a fan of Bun and Scarface on this... Wayne amuses me... he's ugly as hell and he pulls chicks... makes out with Birdman and gets a career... talks like a pedophile and gets famous... good on the kid.
adamp360, I won't comment on the cussing...that's pretty irrelevant. But I will say, Wayne is Wayne. He has his own style, just like everyone else does. It makes him unique. Some will like him and some won't. Wayne is hit and miss for me usually. I hate him and then I dig him....depends on the song and the effort he gives. When he gives a crap effort, that's like an insult to my intelligence as a listener. But then, when he comes with some good stuff, I can give props for that...like on this track. That's just my two cents and then some.
I wish I could sell a million copies in 1 week and still get hated on. hahaha. looks like whoever you like ain't quite as hott as wayne so why hate on the dude?
I love is such hot @*#$!! I have listened to this bout twenty times and never gets old. Such a rocker Scarface sounds so sweet and started of on he right foot with Wayne. Respect is deserved and given. The chorus unexplainable.
