Bay area emcee sayknowledge is prepping for the release of his latest album, Vibe Called Quest, which is set to drop next week. No, sadly, the track does not feature Q-tip or Phife Dawg, but don’t worry, sayknowledge’s smoother than silk, laid-back style should leave fans of ATCQ more than satisfied. Mars Today and Mikos cook up a buttery, intricate production, highlighted by a catchy drum beat and a jazzy instrumental section that would make Tribe’s resident producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad proud. While sayknowledge’s vibe might be reminiscent of The Tribe, rest assured that he definitely has his own unique, refreshing style.
