Savage may be considered the king of New Zealand, but this husky emcee runs the risk of wearing out his hip-hop welcome with a remix to the remix of his single Swing, which now features M-I-Yayo black sheep Pitbull. The 26-year-old Auckland native may have the swagger to get the girls to shake their moneymakers, helping the down under wonder go 3x platinum and 2x gold in the Asia Pacific, but the assist will go unnoticed as Pitbull’s charisma and double-time flow tries to rip Savage’s slow-mo to shreds. All is not lost, however, for Universal Republic’s newest signee. While the Soulja Boy-featured original remix will bring awareness at outlets like iTunes and DJBooth, Swing 2.0 will provide him help from the stage to the clubs and, hopefully, a warm reception stateside.
The industry is really making me start to hate this song. When it first came out, say, TWO YEARS AGO, it was a banger at every college party/bar. Now I start hearing it pop up on radio these past couple weeks and DJ's saying "Brand new track from Savage." The original is still the best, but this is way better than the Soulja Boy remix. Pitbull spits solid on here, but damn, this song is just annoying now.
FYI SAVAGE AINT THE KING OF N.Z HIP HOP,BUT THIS SONG IS HOW OLD I THINK THIS IS BETTER THAN THA REMIX WIT SOULJAH BOY,PITBULL BRINGS A DIFFERENT STYLE TO IT AND SOUNDS ALRITE ANYWAY GOTTA SUPPORT THE HOMETOWN ARTISTS..
"SOUTH AUCKLAND RAISE UR ARMS,LET ME SEE U THROW IT UP,AND I WILL ALWAYS REPRESENT MA KREW DECEPTIKONZ"
This is a remix so there is also a original edition...but I've never heard it! Anyway the beat here is hard but I don't like them! The song after a while gets soooo boring...ok
I said this when we featured the first remix and I'll say it again... If you are at a club (with a good DJ) and they drop this song... people go NUTZ. That is the sign of a successful song. Savage has minimal appeal here in the States right now, but with a new club banger (where is it, fam?) he could prove he belongs (temporarily, at least).
Yea Z I've been saying that all along too, this song goes crazy in the clubs or at parties. It's a for sure banger 9 months ago. I would love it if Savage came out with another club banger this hot and released it directly in the US.
itz jus lyk hiz last track wit MA BABY SOULJA BOY:), i cant jus list-n 2 it and lyk it, i have 2 move. so itz coo but not coo @ tha same time lol. but ya... i'll list-n again.
Already heared the original 3 years ago, so this dosnt compete, though it is better then the Soulja Boy Remix. Is there any chance of gettin some Scribe in the booth? thedrzadvocate will agree that Scribe is the better rapper of the 2 & is easily the best rapper in the Pacific by a mile.
