Do you ever get the urge to slap your unconscious mind upside the head, even though it’s your head? When my alarm went off this morning, my dream-self was in a mad rush to make it to the airport in time to catch a flight. Way to make my beauty sleep more stressful than my waking life, brain. As exasperating as dreams can be, though, they occasionally offer some downright vital insights. On Sammie‘s first solo feature since his summer ‘08 Booth debut, the Kiss Me Thru the Phone hookman/She Ain’t My Girl collaborator describes a nightmare in which his neglect of his girl leads to the death of their relationship. Realizing the consequences of his behavior, the singer resolves to change his ways – but first he has to Wake Up. Backed by the somber, slow-jam boardwork of J. Hype and Troy Taylor, this track packs an undeniable emotional punch, but will it be enough to rouse listeners who have been sleeping on the Miami up-and-comer? Only time will tell, but those who like what they’re hearing should be sure to pick up a copy of Sammie’s It’s Time EP, available now in stores and online.

Wow when I saw Sammie's name on here I was expecting some catchy as hell pop track, but he showed he can sound great on a ballad as well. Really impressed with this offering. I hope Sammie has a big year this year.

this is catchy as hell. i was wonderin if i would ever hear from Sammie again. You Should Be My Girl was one of my fav songs wen it came out. this could be another.

Really like this track, id gotta be in the mood for this tho because i havent made a wrong turn with my girl yet, so id throw this in rotation when i need motivation to get back on track. Really good flippin track here!

I didn't know Sammie was capable of impressing me until I took a listen to his brand new EP earlier this week. When we found this to be the stand out cut off the project, featuring it was a no brainer. As you can see, our Booth members agree!

Wow, I can't believe this is the same dude from that aggravating Kiss Me Through the Phone. On the real, he looks like he's 12 but sings like he's 25. Big props to Sammie, this is the most surprised I've been by a song in recent memory (sorry if that was a bit of a backhanded compliment).

Wow i like tis track from Sammie. It showed he grew from his 1st. I like tha single he had wit souja boy but just didnt think he had an classic but potential! Got to say he has a hit. Damn hope Houston radio start plaYIN this!!
