Most of our favorite nationally-known rap stars, who are now enjoying lifestyles of the rich and famous, started their lives Down at the Bottom. For instance, New Jersey native and Def Jam signee Sam Scarfo has spent plenty of time on the lowest rung of society. Refusing to forget where it all starts, however, Scarfo documents the depths of a ghetto-raised lifestyle, from his mother’s upcoming drug trial to recently discovering he impregnated a women, on this new song from his The 19th Letter mixtape. Producer Boola adds a slow, introspective East Coast beat, which allows Scarfo’s story to remain the primary focus of the record. All in all, it makes for some “chill” background music that will resonate very strongly with several listeners.
Oh, Jerry! You're only making that comparison because of the photo above next to his info. Biggie and Scarfo do not sound anything alike... at all. Nice mellow song, great vision, good listen.
Boola's production is mad nice. It's definitely my style. Sam Scarfo is okay. He's not super great, but this is a decent "non-dance crap" track, so I can rock with it.
I'm with Z on this one as well, although he does have a Biggie tone to um, real hip hop heads will tell you NOBODY SOUNDS LIKE BIG! Many have tried and failed. (Shine is not one of them. He's a heavy hitter in his own right.) Guerilla Black is somebody that better fits whatI'm talkin bout. This song is good. I'd like to hear it again.
I have a problem with this dude's surname...it's horrible I'm sorry lol! Anyway this isn't my type of song so I won't rate...songs like this are boring to me, that doesn't mean they aren't good, I just leave them for their true fans!
the beat is straight laid back. Definitely a vibin' track. I don't know what the hell Jerry was talking about. Nothin like BIG. But he was flowing deep rhymes
I am really feelin this one. I really like the sample they used on this track. I think this song was put together pretty well from top to bottom. This is my First time hearing Sam Scarfo and now I want to hear more from him. I really digs this track, it's moving.
