If there’s one rapper who doesn’t need to reassure listeners of his realness, it’s Saigon. As the Big Apple underground mainstay’s musical output attests, he can be relied upon to keep it one-hundred—nay, 110—at all times. Be that as it may, it’s hard to fault the rhymesayer for reminding us when the notification comes in as dope a form as I Am 4 Real, the latest leak off his forthcoming street album. DJ Corbett does his thing on the production tip, serving up a hard-nosed synth beat centered around the titular sample from Outkast classic Ms. Jackson, and Sai comes with hard-nosed rhymes to match. Taking aim at big-name lames masquerading as G’s, he spits, “You motherf*ckers might get more listens than me, but they ain’t got a quarter of my authenticity / Gangsta like I was born in Sicily, if you’re a real G then it’s more than a mystery.” Does this resolutely real selection leave you hungry for more hard-hitting tunes? More awaits on Saigon’s Just Blaze co-presented Warning Shots 3: One Foot in the Grave LP, scheduled for release “soon.”

The only thing I don't like about this record is the sorta tacky single art. Everything musically works. Love it when Sai sounds pissed off.

This is a good track, I agree with Z and say that the cover art is tacky but the song itself is dope.

Saigon missed his chance on the scene. Not feeling this dude's flow anymore...Beat was pretty simple. Nothing stands out.
