On his self-produced single, U Can’t Stop Me Now, RZA goes back in time to show us the hard times of his childhood, all the way up to his successful days in the Wu-Tang Clan. His goal: to let the world know where he came from, where he’s going and to show his progress cannot be stopped. The slow, retro sound is appropriate for a song about the past, and to top off the walk down memory lane, the track features a verse from Clan member Inspectah Deck. RZA’s forthcoming solo album, Digi Snack, is set to drop this summer off Koch Records.
I never appreciated RZA's skills as a solo artist and I don't think that will change. I liked him as part of Wu. This track is not banging; not even chill music.
Hell ya RZA! This is hottt! Beat is insanely fly. This is where its at right here! I am bangin this fo sure! lyrics on point like normal, and fow is cld as hell. Definitely bangin dis right here.
jesavail02: RZA's a "decent producer"?!?! He's one of the best hip-hop producers of all-time! This track continues to demonstrate his versatility and ability to challenge boundaries. The guitar riffs with the drum melody is crazy Wu ish.
I always love the beat and feel of the Rza's music. I admit, his flow is far from spectacular, but it ain't bad. The 70s feel to the beat is amazing though, has a little bit of an asian thing going for it (think old bruce lee movies).
damn don't you just love music !!! .... to damn smooth .... guitar and the bass beat have that funk and hip hop feelin no doubt ..... this is banga materal here 4* .... RZA !
i usually like RZA especailly since dat song FATAL he made for the Blade Trilogy movie but dis is.........interesting i aint likin it, RZA, u have disappointed a fan dude. Lucky im givin u 2 stars (1 star cuz of flow,1 cuz i like u)
This beat is FUKKIN SICK! The sample is Unbelievable!!! RZA gets MAJOR props on the beat and many other beats he has! RZA and Inspecktah Deck have that unorthodox flow that everyone else can't really feel. But me, on the other hand, I can definitely get with the Grimy Wu tang Style. I like RZA's lyrics on here tellin the story of the Wu-Tang career. This is a BANGER to me!
The chorus is garbage...the beat is different but not a good feel for this track...and very slow pace to it as well...but the flowing on here is decent
Sick ass beat.. LOVING the old school vibe. Sorry, but I feel most of the people who think this track is garbage are all hooked on fruit-snack clubby rap. THIS IS HIP-HOP. Looking forward to the LP. Keep droppin em, Rza.
...this is REAL hip hop. So it's true... what corrupt said - all you "fruit-snack clubby rap" lovers don't even BOTHER commenting on this. What do you y'all know about REAL hip hop anyway??!!?? ... suckas!
this is good hip hop, ive always liked RZA, and its nice to hear some good music one in a while and take a step back off of the clubby rap since that is so fluent right now
Whoa, this is sick. I just turned the bass up on this one because the groove sets you in a trance. RZA is on another level and too often people don't realize its hot until years later when the rest of the art catches up. I think this on the same tip for real. SIIIIICCKKK
MF DOOM uses this same sample in a song called "Sarsaparilla" (search that in youtube) and is also pretty sweet, this is a hot track, if you dont like it than go back to soulja boy and stay off the real hip hop threads pls
WU-Tang! Wu Tang! Wu- Tang! Huge Wu fan back in the day! I haven't really been too empressed with their stuff lately. This song has alota soul to it! I dig this one! 4.5 SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!
