As the tentative release date for Ryan Leslie‘s self-titled debut quickly approaches, the multitalented musician is busy pushing his third single, How It Was Supposed To Be.  Following a video shoot for the new record is the remix, which features a verse from a certain rapper currently promoting his own upcoming album.  While R-Les holds out hope that his woman will come to her senses, Jadakiss (whose junior album, The Last Kiss, is scheduled for release December 16th) puts the blame on himself and realizes he needs to do some soul-searching before he can hope to win back his lost love.  Ryan Leslie is set to hit stores and online retailers in February.

Jada is on my radar people! Listen to everything he's came with lately, it's all fire! This remix is pretty sick, I like the production on it. The chorus switches it up a bit and brings more energy. However, the vocals are a little off from our man R Les and he doesnt fit the song too well. In rotation, but nothin special.

This is a good one. My only complaint is similar to what I said on the Dream song review. Formulas need to be switched up. This sounds like a few of his other tracks. However I have heard less from Ryan so this gets a pass. Jada killed it!

Jada is fire on this song but this track doesnt stand out. He needs a more creative beat or production. This is still good

Really feelin the production on this track, those keyboards in the background are hot. The mix was tight too, Jada did his thang.

LOL - everyone (almost) LOVED Ryan's original version of "How It Was Supposed To Be." Then he drops a remix w/ Jada, who always puts in a solid 16, and the average rating drops and the feedback is nowhere near as insightful? I'll blame the holiday....

Hit single.

I was wonderin the same thing Z... I was surprised to see the lower rating but if anything, it's certainly not Jada's fault! His verse is very good; I like how he always gets into the topic on his features and not start bragging bs. The original was a banger and so is this.

Typical Ryan Leslie's track...I think the production is great, it has much energy and it's catchy, but I'm not personally mad for the way Ryan sings...he has a good voice but he's sometimes weak, he lacks energy! I'd put this in rotation for the production

The voices complemented the music. The lyrics did not do justice for me though. Also the high notes he stroke kinda seemed like he was straining. It's a good song, but nothing is jumping out at me. Nothing really special. He made a nice pick with the feature. I like Jada's verse. This song will not be in my rotation only because nothing jumped out at me.
