When a rapper’s hungry they have to eat beats, and apparently Detroit’s Royce Da 5’9” is starving because he absolutely feasts on his new track Dinner Time. An official leak from the Slaughterhouse alum’s forthcoming, long-long-long delayed album, Dinner Time is nothing but three minutes of lyrical devastation over a frantically pacing beat from producer Quincey Tones that marries a rock vibe with pure hip-hop percussion. Frankly we’ve come to expect this kind of quality work from Royce (he absolutely murders the track), but the real news on Dinner Time is the quasi-return of Busta Rhymes, who actually gets back to spitting hard flows after going all Arab Money soft on us recently. Still, Royce is the unquestioned king of the track, and if his new album ever reaches our eardrums, there’s no doubt it will be a banger. Keep it locked to DJBooth.net for all the latest.

Welcome back, Busta Rhymes. We've known Royce has said murdering beats for years, but Busta has been on a vacation for almost an entire decade (in my book). This hits HARD. I've full after eating this.

WHOOO! That's it. It's over. Busta is off his hiatus from Arab Money and that whole B.O.M.B. disc (shudder). Royce is bringing that pain as always.

Both of them sound great together and Busta is always a good hype man (Diddy's Victory or Nas's Sucide Bounce). I agree with what everyone else is saying, Busta came hard with one of his late-90's verses and we all knew Royce was gonna kill the track.

It's a Slaughterhouse takeover!!!

If anyone forgot how sick Busta was n*gga just gave out a reminder, flowed to the exact rhythm of the beat. Lyrically and flow-wise, both kills it, buries it and holds a memorial service ...

*I'm all teary eyes*

The fact that just one fourth of Slaughterhouse can bring the house down (as is done here) is a testament as to how powerful the group actually is. Royce Da 5'9" and Busta murder it, gut it, urine on it, resurect it, repeat the process, and dance on its grave.

This is awesome...I was lucky enough to see Slaughter house live during the rock the bells tour, Royce and Crooked I stood for me (Joel was meh and at the very least, Joe needs to stop with the blogs). I hope this gives Royce the attention he deserves because this song is a classic.

I think we can all agree that Royce absolutely murked this. No question. What I'm more interested in is Busta: what happened to this man? This is one of the better flows we've heard from him in a minute, but compared to the old school Busta it's still a little weak. Busta circa 1998 would have absolutely destroyed this. What happened? Did he get asthma or something?

Royce Da 5'9" is been killing everything he has been touching lately from "The Revival EP" to "Slaughterhouse" to now this "Street Hop" album. What is it going to take for this guy to get a major deal.

Okay… Now I like Busta Rhymes and cannot frown upon his verse, however I certainly do frown upon and am not quite sure “Why, oh why, oh why… tell me why…” he felt it necessary to use, what I like to call, the DJ Khaled effect to a certain extent on this song… Honestly it’s just annoying and irritating, stop ‘yelling’… no one cares… I can only hope you “get sick with the flu” so I do not have to listen to anything like that ever again…

Aside from that Royce sounded good spitting his fast paced verses, 3.5ish, rounding down simply because of Busta… I know, I know “It’s so f*ckin’ unfair, sh*t is so unfair”, sorry Royce that’s the way it’s going to be.
