The seventh entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Rocky Fontaine, the Philadelphia emcee who brought us Best in the City and Once Again It’s On. Fontaine, who spits over Chris & Drop‘s production from Lupe‘s The Coolest on his brand new Philly Up Next, is currently preparing various guest placements in collaboration with ATL production group Tha Corna Boyz, as well as working on a yet-untitled debut album.

I said it before and I'll say it again; Fontaine is the freshest emcee out of Philly in quite some time. He has the lyricism of an true east coaster, the swag of a down south emcee, and the delivery of a veteran.

I'll grade this on lyrics, even though he completely took Lupe's flow and beat. Rest of the song is hot, can definitely vibe to it. The freestyle series is fresh!

cb126405, I didn't hear Lupe's flow at all on this. Rocky spit his original style to it. Rocky did his thing on this. It should have been longer though. But this was fly.
