Have you been lying awake at night, wondering whether Robin Thicke would ever collaborate with Lil Wayne on another fresh record? Well, you must lead a charmed life if that’s at the top of your list of future concerns. But don’t worry your Pretty Lil’ Heart—on single numero dos off his forthcoming fifth full-length, the singer reunites with his Shooters and Tie My Hands partner. Thicke does double-duty on the mic and behind the boards, teaming up with production partner Pro-J to craft a brassy soul beat as he breathily entreats a special lady to give voice to her affection: “Tell me that you’ll never, ever leave my side / Tell me ‘cause you know I wanna hear it every night.” On the front, Wayne dedicates a few bars to his own dream girl—a woman so perfect for him that she even shares his taste for contextually-inappropriate toilet humor: “Late night, lights dim, candles lit / She said ‘Weezy, flush me harder’ / I said ‘Ooh, you the sh*t.’” Are you loving this sultry selection? If so, you’ll undoubtedly find more to your liking on Thicke’s Love After War LP, set to hit store shelves and online retailers November 18.

Thicke and Wayne re-unite, but as we all know the sequel is never as good as the original.

I love the production work on here. Lil Wayne hurt the intro in the beginning. This song had me bumping hard all the way to the end. Robin sounds as good as ever. Excellent work! Love the chorus.

Lil' Wayne was pointless on this song, but Robin Thicke's vocals were very good to me so I give a 3/5 stars.

Lil Wayne flat out drags this track down. Thicke should just take him off for the single and album release if Wayne isn't going to perform at his best. Otherwise it's a pretty solid R&B performance.

Nice listen, but I'm sorry Weezy killed it (badly, I mean) this reunion was horrible. soz man, man up and find a proper collabo partner.
anyways, sweet 'lil' hook from Mr Thicke just not that enchanting. |

I missed this while it was relevant, but I owe it to one of my favorite artists to revisit this. Weezy undoubtedly detracted from the overall piece, but it still rides with CLASS.
This is your standard Robin right here, and that's just fine with me. |

The only thing this song is missing is timing. Wayne's verse is interesting, but it just doesn't fit at the beginning. No it's not Tie Me Down, but they'd have to work together very collaboratively to have that effect like they do when they trade verses.

Great job on Robin Thicke's part, I'm tired of hearing Wayne's guest spot though. It doesn't go at all with this song.

The song is dope. I agree with most that Wayne was not needed on this track. Robin's voice is beautiful as usual.
