Detroit emcee Ro Spit, a.k.a. Octane, a.k.a. DJ Phrikshun is a man of many names, but you can simply call him #1. On his latest single and first DJBooth.net feature, the Motown up-and-comer makes no bones about his musical supremacy, dropping swagger charisma-drenched gems like his undeniably dope closing couplet, “I’ll do whatever for the cheese, I’m forever grinnin’/This verse amazing and it couldn’t've had a better ending.” After the headliner’s opening verse, NYC’s Curt@!n$, fellow Motowner Big Sean and Underground King Bun B step up to the mic to deliver equally impressive, braggadocio-packed bars over Frank the Butcher‘s hypnotically head-nodding sampled-bass groove. Will this star-studded cut live up to its name on our Independent Chart? Only time will tell, but it seems to have all the makings of a Booth smash. In any case, those who like what they’re hearing can find plenty more hot rhymes and banging beats on The Oh S#!t Project , set to hit the ‘net this Wednesday, November 11.

Frank The Butcher, butchered the beat. It sounds like a old school beat that was chopped and screwed beyond recognition.

It's pretty painful to listen to.

The production work leaves lots to be desired, but I enjoyed all four emcees just plain spitting. However, as I always say, if you featured four (or more) better known artists on your song, you better outshine them. Ro doesn't do that here. Maybe next time?

Big Sean > Ro Spit > Bun B > Curt@!n$
Bun B has gotten boring lately. All his verses are starting to say the same thing. Big Sean is underrated, he just needs to find his own style. The beat was alright, I don't see what everyone's talkin about. I agree with Z, on his own track, Ro Spit was just average.

Where other people seem to see repetition from Bun B I see consistency, but Bun can't save this track by a long shot, especially with the questionable production. Pass.

Pretty decent verses from everyone involved, nothing that will make you rewind though. Production was decent, doesn't really go anywhere - bland. 2.5

Big Sean > Curt@!n$ > Bun B > Ro Spit

WOOO!

Big Sean SMASHED THIS.

“Go hard or go home, so I don’t ever see the crib.”

That line was the kicker right there. #NoRyanLongwell

Y'all got to realize that sometimes it's just about the lyrics mayne, and yo got to admire the original art of MCing. Simple beat and dope lyrics = Hip Hop.

Decent, the initial beat was a lot better to what it changed into.
