Newcomer Riz is taking his inspiration from all areas of hip-hop: though he proudly hails from NYC, he’s got money on his mind with his blingin’ label, Diamond District Entertainment. Like his forebears, Riz isn’t shy about flaunting what he’s got, as he boasts on his new buzz single, Show You ’Bout It. Kane Beatz spruces up an electronic drum clap with a dark beat; Riz takes full advantage of the up-tempo rhythm by encouraging his fellow hustlers to show off all they’ve got. Additionally, hookman extraordinaire Trey Songz saddles up his riches for a melodic chorus that complements the “get money” theme. There’s no word yet when Riz’s Self Made will hit the streets, but expect the kids to “pop bottles” like there’s no tomorrow when it does.
Another unskilled rapper matched with a really good R&B singer. Seriously, this is so generic. Songz should really reconsider some of the rappers he chooses to work with.
Since I am all about positivity, let's concentrate on the good here: Trey Songz is a dope hook singer, the production is very good (would it be better with a different emcee over the top?) and that chain could pay for my car insurance for the next 50 years. How was that?
wow. he is lyrically pretty damn horrible. damn. i was surprised by how bad he was. i expected him to be at least ok.. man no. trey songs is the only reason this gets 2 stars. riz is terrible.
Sha Money XL told me like a year back how dope this cat is and how he will blow up. Nooooo way, he's nothin special at all. Stupid chain. Beat is good, but a south beat.
I really must have weird tastes. Most of you have cut off this track...to me it's pretty! The production is good, I'm feeling the beat and the music. Trey Songz sounds great as always, Riz isn't that good, ok, but that's not a reason to consider this garbage! I've heard many worse songs, with very high ratings only because they were by Lil' Wayne, for example. To my tastes, this is in rotation! I quote rdotlala
hold up i mean this dude isnt that good or anything but i can deff give songs where lil wayne has been lyrically worse this isnt that bad, plus trey deff does his thing
