If the efforts of such talented artists as Jean Grae and RAtheMC (who dropped her Booth-sponsored #Trending Topics mixtape earlier this week!) have somehow failed to convince you that female rap is alive and kicking, may we introduce you to Rita J.? Signed to indie label All Natural, Inc., the Chicago-bred, Atlanta-based femcee is introducing herself to our readership with No Regrets, a newly-leaked track off her forthcoming full-length. Producer K-Kruz‘s funky blend of brass stabs and off-kilter guitar riffs should catch old-schoolers’ ears from bar one, and Rita delivers on the beat’s retro-flavored promise, lacing the track with upbeat, uncompromising motivational rhymes. Guest artist Adad adds a generous dash of energy, trading lines with the headliner on the cut’s amped-up chorus. If you’re digging this femcee’s nostalgic sound and positive-minded perspective, why not sign up for her Artist Workshop? Due out November 3, Rita J.‘s latest album is a purchase that listeners are unlikely to regret.

As I've said before - not many female emcees can hold my attention from the start to finish of a track. Shawnna? Yes. Jean Grae? Yes. RAtheMC? Yes. Rita J? Yes!

Obviously, some dynamite boardwork helps her case here, but overall a very enjoyable first Booth feature.

The beat is hot and she definently can rap but I think somewhere down the line she not going to attain any new fans the this but it goes in the rotation.

She sounded pretty good. She can rap. I wasn't too impressed and excited about her flow, but she's decent.

Track has its moments (production/hook) but it’s just an average track, nothing out of the ordinary, but it is mos def enjoyable.

Production kind of overwhelmed her a little bit. Her rhymes are pretty damn good but they get drowned out.

The only female rapper to ever really keep my attention for more than a minute has been Lady of Rage back in the 90's!!

Nice trak. Sista has a very nice lyrical flow! The bridge was kinda goofy tho. I would definitely get it in the mix, but wouldn't let it play from beginning to end. Nice work!
