Excuse me DJBooth readers, but I’d like to take a moment to address Rihanna and Jay-Z directly. Thanks. Rihanna, Jay..can I call you Jay? Great, thanks Jay. No pressure guys, but the last time you got together (Run This Town) you went double platinum, and the time before that (Umbrella) you went triple platinum. So yeah, it’s fair to say that expectations for your new collaborative effort and title track Talk That Talk are higher than Wiz Khalifa in Amsterdam. You’re certainly not taking the single lightly, recruiting mega-producers Stargate for a bouncing, pounding beat that will get spins everywhere from the clubs to high school proms. Vocally Jay lays down some, well, not exactly typical stunting (word to bladder references) on an opening verse while Rihanna laces the cut with her usual blend of lightly melodic melodies and dirty talk. So how about it DJBooth Nation – will this be the latest in a long string or Rihanna and Hova mega-hits? If so sales of Ri Ri’s upcoming album, Talk That Talk, should be stellar when it drops next week, November 18.

Wow... not the worst I've ever heard, but sounds like they aren't even trying. If this weren't Rihanna & Jay-Z, this wouldn't even get spins... surprised Stargate didn't have anything better...

This track is Hot. Jayz opened up the song with a good verse. Rihanna did what she always does. Production wasnt amazing but got the job done. Turn it up.

Jay sounds great, but Rhianna has so much more range she could be using with her voice. A little more variation please not this repetitive low vocal drone. Stargate definitely still has it though. This will get radio play even if Rhianna was just going through the motions.

Very dope track! I like it alot. I see another Number One in Rihanna's future with this one. It may not be as big as "Run This Town" and "Umbrella" but nevertheless a big hit record no doubt.

Rihanna going through the motions. Jay definitely added something to the track. Not his best verse of recent though...Stargate production was quite typical of them. Nothing special, but should get some serious burn if it was released as a single.

When i first heard this i immediately thought "Black n Yellow"....and everyone thought i was nuts....so i did some research..and there IS a common denominator...Stargate....any of you DJ's out there this would b a powerful mix with rude boy and black n yellow.....
