Rihanna sure has come a long way since she dropped the ‘05 dancehall hit, Pon De Replay. In the three years since her debut, Music of the Sun, the Barbadian beauty has sold approximately 10 million albums worldwide, won a Grammy, and showcased The-Dream’s songwriting gift. Following the same pattern many successful albums have taken before her (Confessions, The Massacre, Konvicted), the 20-year old is giving Good Girl Gone Bad the re-release treatment. Produced by Stargate and written by label mate and frequent collaborator Ne-Yo, Ri’s new single Take A Bow mirrors the subject matter of Beyonce’s Irreplaceable—well, minus the whole ”To the left, to the left” thing. If you think this good girl has gone bad, things should only get naughtier when the re-release drops on May 27.
I didn't know she had a re-release... hmm. Anyways, I'll be seein her (& Kanye, Lupe & N.E.R.D.) May 18th! Decent ballad-like track. I love her voice. And yes DJBooth ur right... the subject matter is reminiscent of Irreplaceable.

I have to give props to Rihanna and her writers, cause they produce consistently good tracks. This a well done, well sung slow track from her. After the first couple verses, you can smell the commercial appeal of this track; don't be suprised to hear it getting airplay.

Rihanna is an international superstar. She makes music that can be played in any country whether is a slow jam or a club banger. It's hard to believe that it has already been three years since she first came into the scene, and what an impact she has made. This record will get a lot of attention, Stargate and Ne-Yo have proven to be a deadly combination.
I can never forgive Rihanna for Umbrella ella ella ella, which led to I'm gonna put ya to Bed, ed ed ed ed.
This song is not my type of music, but I bet it'll be on the radio before you know it.
Good r&b ballad but lemme say a thing: Rihanna can't sing live! A good voice is useless if it's perfect only on the tape...I've listened to her live, I sing better auhauhauhauh!
The beats a little too slow but it matches her voice. One of the few songs where I actually like her voice. And the lyrics are original cuz there've been times I wanted to say this to an ex or two.
Her voice is way better than it used to be when she first dropped. This is a great vocal track to show her maturity on. She is a cutie as well, and she meshes perfectly with her new man C-Brown. Back to the track...This is a nice light-hearted song with a smooth classic Piano beat. This will be a timeless track. Good Song, but just not my speed to bump it again and again.
Does this sound like a lot of material that we have heard before? Yes. Has ALL of that material worked commercially? Yes. As they say, if it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.
hmmmm... I dont know what to say about the re-release its just no point well on to the basic of this comment the song to me is well ok I guess if it was Beyonce's - Irreplaceable it would be a hit seller though overall it has good rhythm and all to it I give a 5. 2 for effort. 2 for doing another slow R&B for me to dance to with a girl. and 1 for getting critism from us. Yet she represented herself well not many of you have the guts to even make a song like this.
NO NO!! Not really feelin this Ne-Yo!!! Sorry u cant create another version of Irreplacable!!! U had ur chance with Go on Girl and that video was horrible. It'll probably get played bcuz its Rihanna though.
I think this is one of the (if not the) best performances Rihanna ever did. Her voice sounds a lot better, cleaner. The melody is fresh enough and the lyrics are funny and smart. What songs are you talking about being similar to this? I don’t like “To the left, to the left…”, that’s annoying, so if this sounds like anything out there, then it’s better than that. I really like how the chorus meets the verses (that “please” on the second verse is a cool break on the tune), very well crafted melody! The beat is veeery simple (I don’t mean it’s not good), you almost don’t notice it, so the props go all to the singer.
I LIKE THIS SONG I LIKE WHAT SHE'S SAYIN' IT'S A CUTE SONG. HAS CUTE METOPHORES... STILL CANT QUITE GET THAT A-CUT THAT SHE HAD IN EARLY 07 BUT IM NOT GONNA GIVE UP LOL. SHE SOUNDS GOOD I ALWAYS THOUGT SHE HAD A BEAUTIFUL VOICE.
I'm wit FredRico....I hated it irreplacable after the second time I heard it....This is a nice detour from all that.."to the left...shyt...Keep it up Ri
