In normal circumstances, a healthy 22-year-old woman shouldn’t have to worry about forgetting her own name – in fact it would be alarming in the extreme if that were to occur. When, you’re Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and you’re on a trip – ahem – downtown with Aubrey “Drake” Graham, well… that’s a little easier to understand. What’s My Name, the latest single from the Bajan songstress, finds RiRi taking a detour from the dancefloor-scorching grooves of Only Girl to craft a steamier cut which draws its heat from her short-lived, but much-buzzed-about relationship with the T-dot heavyweight. Here, the upbeat synth boardwork of Stargate sets the stage for a heaping helping of innuendo from both collaborators; Drizzy handles verse one, sing-rapping his way through a double-entendre-peppered opener (“The square root of 69 is (eight/ate) something… right? ‘Cause I been tryin’ to work it out.”), and Rihanna responds in kind, lacing her verses and chorus with some playful come-ons of her own. Digging this catchy ode to young love/lust? Then be sure to grab a copy of Loud when it hits stores Nov. 16 via SRP/Def Jam/IDJMG.

I am terrible at math, but it doesn't take a numbers wizard to figure out that "Rihanna" + "Drake" + "Stargate" = radio success. There is simply no way that music directors don't gobble this one up. Especially with the DJ-friendly back-story, which is perfect for all those boring stop sets in-between records.

Screams radio success with these 3 (rihanna drake stargate) but this one gets the kanye shrug for me. Not really liking rihanna nowadays her voice is getting on my nerves.

While the beat sorta sounds like a leftover "Rudeboy" remix, I still love it. Stargate always delivers behind the boards. Drake has an above average verse here and Rihanna actually sounds like she's singing with her accent in this one. I like it. 4.5/5.

I guess I'm going to have to get use to hearing this on the radio. Luckly, it's not that bad and it'll probably grow on me. Drake seemed like a waste and feels like it was a last minute thing (wasn't this a remix? Maybe that's why). I expected more from this trio but only because they've done much better in the past.

This is a classic... for the billboard charts. As for me, I thought that both Rihanna and Drake performed pretty well. Not the biggest Rihanna fan, but the hook is gonna be resonating in my head for a little bit. I liked Drake's verse and Rihanna was pretty cool. This gets a solid 3.5 from me.

This is going to be a smash. The beat is real nice and Drake came hard. I'm enjoying this. Rihanna's album is looking solid.

Radio will burn this outta my ears in a month if given mainstream attention.
I like Stargate's beat; even if it sounds like a remake of Rude Boy. I could do without Drake though; he seems very unnecessary and yeah, like a last-minute addition. Rihanna's voice kinda annoys me too. I'm digging the beat a lot though. |

What you'd expect from a collaboration with these two. Won't be long before this hits the radio, but this isn't going to be as big as "Only Girl".

Yeeeah nice catchy production and lyrics... Drake's verse is nice, he always includes a couple of fresh lines. Can't hate on the track because I'm gonna be secretly singing along to it on the radio in a few weeks

Such a hit, no doubt. Drizzy comes in and does his thing, as expected. Real basic production and performance from Stargate and Rihanna, but it works here. Definitely gonna be #1 on iTunes in no time haha good song.

Compared with her past releases, singles released so far are a step down. They are not bad, but she has yet to give me something that gets me really excited.
The chorus is the highlight that it completely barrels over everything else (which is good because majority of the lyrics are lame), and Drake's verse is not annoying, but it's not interesting either. It's just sort of there. Unlikely to chart as high as past hits, but this synthpop melody (backed with processed snare hits) and Rihanna's vocals has its own charms. Pleasant, even if it isn't the most memorable thing in the world to me. |

I like this track overall. Drake did his THING on the opening verse. Sounds a bit different from his other stuff, but in a good way. Rihanna sounds pretty good on here too. New album should be pretty decent. The last one was OK and I expect this one to be better. Lots of good albums coming out soon...

This song is kinda dull. I'm sure that it won't be a hit like the "Only girl".

Just looking at all the players on this track, I thought it would've been more catchy. Drake was good, but Rihanna's vocals and the production weren't enough. I actually feel that this won't impact radio that hard, but radio's a strange thing to predict sometimes.
