Nearly thirteen years ago, Rick Ross was just another struggling rapper in a city without much recognition in the hip-hop game.  The Carol City, Florida native knew his day would eventually come, but until he latched on with Slip-N-Slide just a few years ago, the answers on his magic 8-Ball didn’t provide very optimistic answers.  Nonetheless, after years of under appreciated talent on Suave House Records, the now-popular industry giant is a literal force to be reckoned with in the game.  Though it isn’t an official single off his latest album, Trilla, Ross has remixed a song that epitomized his current status:  This is the Life.  Hopping on board the Blac Elvis-produced cut are Shawty Lo, Flo Rida, Brisco, Birdman, and Ross’ Triple C’s group members.  No disagreement from us; it does sound like fun!

The first version of this song was a straight banger and Ross tries to improve on that with adding some members. Each person comes hard. Productions can be touched up a little but besides that its all good. BANGER!!

"Here I Am" got a lot of criticism, but I have a feeling that will do nicely this summer. Overall, all the rappers here don't do bad, they hold their ground nicely. Even Shawty Lo! Also, I think it'll be fair to add Trey Songz to the feature list.

BANGER, as to was the original. Ricky Ross of course did his thang again. Ross done came up since Hustlin' and I think he plans on staying at the TOP!!! Everyone one else is good as well. Production could have probably used a lil more tweakin', but none the less a good song.

Shawty Lo's voice almost didn't annoy me on this one. Second dude ripped it. The Third dude's verse sounds like it was written by Ross! Ross killed it just like he did the OG version. 4th dude was ok, 5th dude was the standout to me. Birdman was himself on this. good track.

Man shawty lo has weak lyrics. The beat is sick but it would be better if it hyad biger beats, harder bass sounds. This track would be sick if the game and lil wayne were on it. Props on Birdman he breaks it down soo good on this track. chia. spinin this @*#$! right here

Shawty Lo sucked.
Gunplay sounded better than Torch, who was mediocre.
Ro$$ was okay.
Who is singing the chorus?
Brisco is underrated. He was pretty good on this song.
Flo Rida killed his verse; he displaces the beat so well.
Birdman sounds really weird coming after Flo Rida. I'm not too much a fan of him though.

Good lineup, and consistent production though.
