Rick Ross - All I Really Want (Remix)
Artist: Rick Ross
Featuring: The-Dream , Twista , Krayzie Bone
Producer: Tricky Stewart
Album: Deeper Than Rap
Label: Maybach Music/Def Jam
Though his junior album, Deeper Than Rap, was released more than four months ago, Rick Ross has still been pushing several tracks off the LP, releasing street videos (Face, Boss Lady) and remixes (Magnificent (Remix), Maybach Music 2.5, Lay Back Pt. 2) along the way. Now, Ross is ending the album’s 8-month promotional run with the release of one last (to our knowledge) remix. Third single All I Really Want owed as much of its success to The-Dream‘s hook and Tricky Stewart‘s production as to Ross’ verses, and this version of the track leaves the former two pieces intact. Twista and Krayzie Bone bring a Midwestern flavor to the revamp with their opening and closing bars, but the (arguable) highlight is Ross’ newly-recorded middle verse. Fans can look forward to another round of hits, remixes, and videos in 2010, when Ross releases senior album Teflon Don.

I thought Twista sounded fresh on this! Glad Ross came with a new verse and Krayzie was sick on the back end. The original was a song that grew on me (to the point where I had it stuck in my head a ton) and this is a good remix to it. 3.5, I'll round up.

Yeah Twista murked this, then everyone else came in to nicely. Not too much a change on the beat but still a true remix. Nicely done.

I don't know what it is, but for some unexplainable reason, I seldom get tired of all the remixed Rick Ross tracks. It must have something to do with his addictive beats and the flow of the track. His beats are so smooth but the beats hit so hard, fluid and fast.
Loved the Twista bit, he threw it down like his old stuff, DEFINITELY a positive contribution to this track. I don't think there was anything new from the-dream on this one. I'm impartial to Krayz's part in this. It's always been a good track for me, the additions gave it a little refresher, that's all. |

I loved the original version of this record and the remix (with two of my Midwest buddies) is no different. All hail Tricky on the DOPE production tip.

Just as my take was on "MM 2.5" I don't mind Rawse! droppin these "Same-Beat-Remixes" as long the original production and hook stays in its place.
I simply love this sitar-tinged production and it features one of the best Dream's hook on a guest tip. As usual Twista kicks down the door with a rapid fire flow on first verse ... And everytime a rapper is on the same track with Twista, they always have to try to rhyme as fast as him OR at a much faster pace than they usually can but Ross does aight with his fast-paced verse. And a feature by Krayzie Bone is always a good look with his melodic delivery. It's a 4.5 ... (do something about this rating DJBooth Crew) |

the album version is dope. Twista proves here that fast raps don't always match the music. It's out of place. Krayzie was good, but still below the original.

The beat is tight & Twista (especially) goes hard over it.
Very surprised to see no complaints about this bein a un-necessary remix (which it is) |

this is smooth for such a fast paced song. i like how they switch it up on the chorus and Dream comes in and kills it. 3.5

Twista sounds pretty smooth on the fast-paced beat.
The-Dream's hook slows it too down, I think. Ro$$ sounds okay when he's fast. He can't really bring it like Twista or Krayzie though. He was pretty good though. Not a fan of the production though. |
