With Maybach Music 2, Rick Ross spun an ‘08 Booth smash into something even bigger; to quote a certain impetuous young track reviewer, “...essentially, it’s like part one, only moreso.” Needless to say, the Booth went bananas. The countless readers who awarded Pt 2 rave reviews will be happy to hear that the rapper’s back with an official remix well worthy of its predecessor’s name. Though it’s hard to beat the original’s Weezy-Yeezy one-two punch, Maybach Music 2.5‘s star-studded lineup elevates it well beyond direct-to-video status. East Coast mainstay Fabolous, Cash Money boss Birdman, and the Clipse‘s Pusha T all hop into Ross’ ride to spit guest verses over J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League‘s sweeping boardwork (retained from the original, along with T-Pain‘s hook), and the headliner even delivers some brand new bars on the back end. A fittingly epic half-quel to a Booth-acclaimed banger, MM2.5 will leave one question on listeners’ lips: will the Boss be able to top himself once again with MM3: Maybach to the Future (okay, it’s apparently going to be called Teflon Don, but I like my idea better)?

I see no sense in stretching a song to far out in a little "series" so to speak, but whatever he wants, I'm liking this one actually kinda better, but the song wore off on me a longg time ago to be honest.. |

I saw this song earlier today, and I thought it was like a joke or some quick track a DJ made. 2.5?? I mean the verses were tight but I don't know what I feel about this track. It's nice to hear some new verses on this beat (Maybach Music 2 is still on repeat), but I mean come on, to keep this Maybach Music series going they gotta change it up more than this. I don't even see the point of this but still its a good song. I don't know, rotation.

Maybach Music 2 was a 5 for me...this one was not bad (mostly because they kept the original production and hook), but its not near the original. Pusha T & Fabolous really stole the show for me, Birdman was horrible, and Ross's new verse was okay. You can't beat the Weezy-Yeezy one-two punch.

Yo! im feelin this, why ya'll be askin for beat change this production is CLASSIC, it doesn't get better than this. Why do rappers keep getting the wise idea of putting Birdman on their records? Birdman ruins tracks and he brings nothing to the table in terms of rapping. He needs to stick behind the production and stay off tracks. Pusha T came with it though.

What's the point of keeping this series going? I mean they kept the beat (which is dope) and the T-Pain chrous but the verese beside Fab (which was dope) was boring (dissapointed in Pusha-T). I gotta agree with Kayleb101 on this one, there's nothing wrong with having pt. 3 but change it up. O yeah, the orignial was the best!

Change the beat and the hook and call it maybach music 3 and keep Pusha and Fab and you got yourself a HIT!!
But this is boring and forgettable as it sounds the same as the past ten they already made with the same beat!!!! F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S is a M-O-N-S-T-E-R though!!!! 3 stars just for his verse!!!! |

If you make a 2.5, you would think that the featured artists would be better than the originals. but obviously when wayne and kanye are in the original, no remix with the same beat will be better, plain and simple.

Eh, it's okay; I prefer the original more. Pusha sounds like Birdman, who sucked. Pusha sounds good though. Loso was pretty good, but the Million-Dolla Bo$$ was mediocre at best. |
