The newest (and biggest) trend in hip-hop, used to extend the popularity of a current single, is to cram as many features as humanly possible on the remix (i.e. Khaled’s I’m So Hood and Chamillionaire’s Won’t Let You Down). Continuing that trend is Rick Ross, who on the official remix to his hit single Speedin’, recruits an entire fleet of top connects. In addition to R. Kelly‘s original hook, the song now features three DJ’s (Khaled, Drama, Bigga Rankin’), two New York MCs (Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe), five Sunshine Statesmen (Plies, Triple C’s, Flo Rida, Brisco), and three outside southerners (Birdman, Webbie and Gorilla Zoe). Oh yeah, and one burning hot MC (Lil’ Wayne), who was saved by Ross’ A&Rs to be the last verse on the remix. Trilla is now set to drop on March 11.

I would much rather they share with us the video of a studio session. Too bad most of these remixes are cut up in separate studio sessions across multiple states. The original is hot, this is too... but this won't get any real heavy radio play, its too long for the format.

Can't say you didn't see this remix coming! Wasn't feeling Birdman on this track, though. Everyone else did well. Rick Ross was the best on that. Liked Plies and Gorilla Zoe, too. Busta stands his ground as always. One of raps MVP's right there... Hmm, what else? Oh yea, I think Flo-Rida is in the Boss' possie now fo' sure. Two of his songs were featured on the Trilla Mixtape too.

hahaha! I too wish that Khaled would shut up sometimes, but he gets the crowd really amped up and that's definitely a good thing when hangin in South Beach, Miami (damn I miss it so much). I really like this remix. Busta is a BEAST! This is a solid performance from mostly everyone and a solid track! No complaints here!

Rick Ross is the ONLY rapper I can stand callin himself a BOSS! :p I don’t know exactly why (is it cuz it rhymes?), usually I see it as a “garbage alert”, cuz real bosses don’t even need to call themselves that. Anyway, bottom line is Ross caught me with Port of Miami and since then he’s one of my favorite rappers. Great remix, not always a long remix like this works, cuz not everybody delivers. Does anyone know which part is Florida’s? If is the one I’m thinkin, it’s one of my favorites… Khaled is so annoying with that bullshit screamin, and he doesn’t even make the beats!
