For anyone who thought that the T-Pain takeover in 2007 was just a mirage, get your Hip-Hop glasses cleaned. To help kick off the New Year, Pain joins Rick Ross on his new single, The Boss, the second official delivery from the forthcoming Trilla. Produced by JR Rotem, The Boss walks the fine line of a club smash and street anthem. Despite the fact that Trilla was supposed to be released in December (sampling issues forced the album to get pushed to a February 19th), it looks as though Ross will benefit as his R. Kelly collabo, Speedin’, has moved up the charts and The Boss will be sure to follow.
This is sick. Really been feeling Ross. I got that Trilla Mixtape, right, and they had some dope tracks on there. This wasn't on there. Criminal Mind [Featuring Akon] and Japanese Denim [Featuring Mannie Fresh] are tracks I remember, and those were amazing. I think those two tracks were better, and I was hoping Criminal Mind would be his next single, but this is pretty good too.
Rotem is a monster...........Rick is his usual nothing spectacular........Anyone think the T-Pain craze will fade....????he cant use that voice machine forever...Not mad at him for milking it to get that paper tho
T-Pain CAN sing without the voice box, though. Check out the song "Right Hand". Sure, it's not an amazing singing voice (though the song is), but when the box gets old, he can stick to that... if he will have any fans left.
I'm feelin Pain on the hook and Ross rides the beat nice. I wish JR would've done a little more with the drums cause the melody is tight. This could be a club banger.
IM 1 WHO THOT T-PAIN FEATURES WERE GONNA B PUT ON THE BCKBURNER, BUT HE DID HIS THING THIS TRACKJ AINT NOTHING SPECIAL BEATS AVERAGE, RICK RHYMES R AVERAGE, AND T-PAIN HOOKS R ALWAYS CATCHY IT'LL DO WELL, I WAS FEELIN SPEEDIN BETTA THO IM STILL RIDIN TA THAT.
I really like this beat right here. Put together really well and its brand new! Sounds like a record being played backwards; very creative. Rick Ross really rips it with his flow as well. I thought that a T-Pain track at this point would annoy me, but even he is welcomed on this track. Done really well all around!
beat is fresh and rick can change his style and still get it right, thats the shiiit. T-Pain was big last year but he needs to bring out his own album to establish hes still here in 08
