Following the release of Trilla’s third single, the Nelly and Avery Storm-accompanied Here I Am, Ross has leaked directly to DJBooth a for-the-streets mixtape banger than he hopes will give fans a taste of his third studio album, Deeper Than Rap. Entitled Get Down, this Neptunes-produced (and Pharrell Williams-assisted) song should find a cozy little home in the clubs; not to mention sparking a few wagers over whether or not Jay-Z would have murdered this beat had he scooped it up from Pharrell before Ricky. There is currently no tentative release date for The Boss’s next project, but expect it to be deeper than Get Down.
This production was a'ight. It was more tolerable that some of the more recent Neptunes productions. This is not Rick Ross's style though. I hope this was a one time deal.
Damn! Hot ass beat for sure! This is one of the best Rick Ross songs I have ever heard (although it's mostly because of the beat). I expect to hear this in the clubs, wow this is a hot song. BANGER
What's this? Milkshake by Kelis? The beat is similar. I keep on thinking I'm not mad for Rick's flow, his voice is particular and doesn't fit all the songs...I repeat, the best by him was Speedin! This has a good beat but the overall song is kinda average. Ps: not to be rude, but in the photo he scares me a bit lol
I hate to say it but this could've worked better with someone other than Ross. DJ Z mentioned Jay Z... I'd go with Ludacris or Twista? Anyway, Ross did alright trying to follow the beat, but his monotone flow doesn't really work on this.

Alot of people need to take into consideration that this beat is a tpical sounding one from The Neptunes....Ross always does his thing and Pharrell didn't really do anything to help the track...the beat is very repeitive though and thus makes this an average track
THIS IS NOT A RICK ROSS TRACK. IF HE SWITCHED HIS FLOW UP IT MIGHT WORK BUT HE SOUNDS THE SAME AS OTHER SHIT HE GOT OUT. HE TRIED TO SHOW IS VERSITILITY THOUGH. BEAT IS NICE!
I used to be a big Neptunes fan when Chad was still involved. But out of 10 songs Pharrell puts out nowadays, I barely like one song! Give it up P...this ain't Ross style at all
i'm a big fan rick ross and his style but his voice and flow don't fit the beat AT ALL...pharrell sounds decent, really expected more outta this kinda collabo
The reason Chad's not producing any of the 'hits' is because Pharell is more of a hip hop producer than Chad. That's all. Pharell is a beast and has been for a minute.
