As the calendar flips to March and tax season rolls into high gear, most of the American public will become overwhelmed, frustrated and heavily stressed. While making sure he isn’t on the short end of the number cruncher, rapper Rick Ross and top-notch accompaniment explain why living a life of wealth leads to a very taxing situation; both literally and figuratively. Luxury Tax, a collaboration with Lil’ Wayne, Young Jeezy and Trick Daddy off the forthcoming Trilla, is helmed by producers J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League who help the four taxed MCs with a horn-infused, 70’s-esque beat (think Shaft-era). Trilla will (finally) be released on Def Jam Records March 11.

This Beat is Ridiculous! Lil wayne is the best artist available to set off a track like this. High energy and he delivers HUGE on this feature! The rick ross album is gonna be SICK! The chorus is hot and everyone's flow is just SICK on this! Classic Right here! Still waiting for the Trick Daddy album!

yes the love affair with Rick Ross continues... will I jump on the bandwagon?? not with this track. DJ LOS is right, sounds like a left-over Hova beat. Is this song even radio potential? I doubt it...

God Damn the production was crazy on this one. I am a sucker for 70's sampling. While I was listening I kept picturing this song in a movie. Someone needs to hop on this for a soundtrack. I am not a fan of Jeezy and Wayne, but I will give them props for this one. I am actually interested in Trilla now.

1. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League delivers with the beat again; great sample! (I remember it, but can't get my pulse on the artist or song it is...anybody know?) 2. I like Weezy best when he delves into his past and how he's making it now. 3. Ross goes heavy (no pun intended) with his verse too. 4. One of the better verses I've heard from Jeezy..."Gangsta's paradise, and I ain't takin' bout Coolio" 5. Anyone who thought Trick Daddy had fallen off..."I smell gunpowder, so you got one hour/to come up with every damn dollar, or you're done dadda"...Does anybody think that now? Bottom line; Trilla will be a BANGER!...March 11 (day after my mom's birthday might I add) |
