Rich Kid Sound System - Get What You Give
Artist: Rich Kid Sound System
Producer: Leo "Deadbeat" De La O
Album: No Cheers for Pioneers
Label: Unsigned
Getting bored with today’s pop-music landscape? Starting to feel like you’ve heard it all? Well, up-and-coming crew Rich Kid Sound System have a message for you: “You Get What You Give.” In return for your attention and A Little Bit of Time (to quote the title of their first feature), the South Floridian five-piece will deliver all the dope music your ears can handle – starting with this brand new EP single. Group member Leo “Deadbeat” De La O mans the boards, crafting an infectiously upbeat electro-pop backdrop for his cohorts’ rhymes. Lyrically, the crew ooze confidence, positioning themselves as beacons of originality and quality in a business dominated by trend-followers: “I’ma put my best up in it, push myself, testin’ limits / Most these acts tend to mimic, movie stars with a rented image…” Do these freshmen have what it takes to make it to the top without sacrificing their artistic vision? You tell me, Booth readers – or, suspend judgment till you’ve heard what else they have to offer on No Cheers for Pioneers, which currently lacks a solid release date.

I am not into making little lists and prognosticating that the artists listed on these little lists will become big in the next 12 months. I just don't do it. But, lets say I did do it, well then I'd no doubt list RKSS as a group to seriously watch-out for in 2011.
Radio will love them, girl presumably will too and I have a feeling a label will agree with me shortly. |

Definitely alot to like about this group. They appeal to a very wide group of listeners. With the right connections, the right label, and good radio play like Z said this group could be on their way.

It has that typical radio feel but without the lame. They're magic.

If RKSS were to get on the radio, i think they would change the way mainstream is heard because they're style is so innovative. Great song, catchy and unique. Excellent
